I liked Mario and Luigi a lot because of it's zany, action-packed pace and its Luigi. (And cameos by the plenty!)
But Paper Mario was more memorable (and the more playable characters, the better.)
Both games were hard in some areas, and easy in others.
I'm going to have to say... Mario and Luigi, because I like Fawful.

I say Mario and Luigi for two reasons: one, I haven't played Paper Mario, and two, Mario and Luigi has a lot more of BOWSER!

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.
I did not enjoy Paper Mario very much, as it was far too simple, and I felt it to be overwhelmingly childish, even for a Mario game.
Though, that's not to say it's a bad game or anything.
However, Super Mario RPG > All.

I don't own PM, but I do own M&L, and it's a dream come true. I think it's as good as (if not better than) Super Mario RPG. And it has the Koopa Kids! What more can a fan ask for?

Man... There's just no beating Mario and Luigi, that's just a crazy awesome game, but Paper Mario's pretty good too.
My vote goes for M&L.

I think they are both great games but... I also say M&L:SS. Why? Luigi is a playable character.

i wonder why it's called mario and luigi: superstar saga,why it isn't mario's and luigi's superstar saga? maybe there will be sequels like "mario and luigi:return to mushroom kingdom",or "mario and luigi:the wrath of wart".

Hmmm, Paper Mario was action-packed, with a great ending, While Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga had much humor and a lame ending. Which to choose? I think Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga by one percent.

Since Paper Mario was the only Mario RPG game I've played, Paper Mario.
Oh, and please use the English language properly, don't be lazy enough to use your own antive language.
Mariofan 7: English may not be your main language, but proper nouns are capitalized in English, when they aren't in other languages.
Sorry for the grammar lesson, but I do get annoyed when people are too lazy to type full sentences with capitalization, punctuation, and grammar....
Oh, and for the final record, Paper Mario, again.

Every message board has one or two pseudo English teachers.
You can write like Faulkner and conduct your conversations like Melville; spill from prose into lyric verse like Whitman, or spend 80 years on the same work like Goethe... but what does it matter, unless what you're saying has some point to it? I think that should be today's message; don't spell and capitalize good... WRITE good.
Anyways... I go with Paper Mario. I haven't played Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, but... I just loved Paper Mario too much to think otherwise from it. I played through it 5 times, everything about it is great. I suppose the only thing that might make me favor M&L would be the fact that Luigi's in it, and apparently it is very humorous (something I love in a game, though Paper Mario had a good deal of humor, too).

Seeing as I haven't played Mario & Luigi I am going to go for Paper Mario as being the better of the two (although the chance to play as both Mario Bros. does mean that in actuality M&L:SS is probably better).
Hard work has never killed anyone, but I don''t want to risk it.
