Title: Dr. Mario e-mail???
Post by: Forest Guy on April 09, 2004, 12:19:58 PM
I recently got an e-mail from Dr. Mario that was forwarded a large amount of times from various e-mails on the Fungi Forums about AOL and Microsoft merging and them sending you money for forwarding the e-mail to test beta software...

Anyone else hear of this?

I checked my e-mail right after I read this and found that I did have one from Dr. Mario.  Looks like an ad for high-speed internet (which I already have, btw).

I picked a couple members to send it to. I did not send it to all of those people. It had already reached a ton of people before I got it.
It's not an add for high speed internet, YitterbiJium. Your supposed to get something like $243 for each person you send it to.
If you want it, let me know and I'll send it to you.

Is a message has to do with AOL, it goes in my Deleted Items folder.

When I said it was an ad for high-speed internet, I didn't mean that was all there was to it.  There was just an ad for high-speed internet at the end of all the names.  I did see the thing about $234 or whatever but that looked like an ad too.
Note: I didn't read it very well.  I just skimmed over it like most of my emails.

Based on information in previous posts/replies, the email described in the topic post is probably spam.  I have not [yet] recieved this particular email or anything similar to that.  I searched for "Dr. Mario Microsoft AOL", but could not find anything relevant.  If I do get something like this in my Inbox, I will reply back here.
