Title: Who do you like better Mario or Luigi?

I'm sure this thread has occured in the past, but I'll answer anyway. I like both of them, but I prefer Luigi because he looks more like me (I'm far skinnier than I should be), his personality is more similar (I'm somewhat of a coward*), and he jumps higher. Hmm... I suppose I like Luigi more than I thought.

Definately mario as luigi slides around a bit too much.

Nothing is impossible. My boss told me so.

I prefer Luigi in games that he has a higher jump.  I counter his sliding by jumping right before he slides.  I use the same technique on ice with Mario or Luigi in SMB3.  I prefer Mario games over Luigi games.  I didn't think the Luigi's Mansion was very good and in Super Mario 64 DS Luigi's mini games are mostly chance/card cards games that I don't like.

They are both of the same origin.  But maybe they perform better together?

I like them both. But Mario always has been more popular to me in the past. But there was always Luigi around, they're brothers after all.. :)

Luigi, and not because Luigi was a faster version of Mario in Smash Bros. for N64. At one point I just got tired of Mario for some reason. Maybe it was seeing the unforgettable "Mama Luigi" episode of the SMW cartoon show. Luigi and baby Yoshi, that was priceless. So Luigi it is, because he was with Yoshi when he was born.

Why I continue to try to save the world, I shall never know.

Luigi. Why? I don’t know. Maybe because my favourite colour is green, and maybe because he's a lot more funny than Mario, and then again it my be that fiery uppercut that freezes the enemy he can do every now and then on SSBM.

This quote by Luigison just got me thinking...the physics in the Mushroom Kingdom are totally messed up!  Not only can characters change their momentum while in the air, but they actually get BETTER traction in the air than on the ground in certain situations!  That's freaky!

(The weirdest cheer for Luigi that actually exists) Go-uigi!!!!!! (Pronounced: Go weejy) He is cool! He was slightly cooler before he waggles his legs in more than one game! (SMA2, SMA4, and SM64DS)

TMK fan since three years ago!

I like Mario better, because Luigi is gaining popularity and Mario is so much cooler. Or possibly because Luigi acts and sounds funny in SSBM. But both brothers are of equal greatness.

Well, I like Mario, obviously. But I have some great reasons!

1) My favorite color is red

2) I'm short

3) I have brown hair but black facial hair (go figure...)

4) Spaghetti is my favorite food

5) My younger twin brother is a Luigi fan. Probably the most Mario-denoting reason I can think of.

I like Luigi unfortunately while Wario(Marios doppelganger) and Peach(Marios Potential love intrest) have starred in games(The wario land and Wario ware games and the Peach DS game thats gonna come out eventually) Luigis same Waluigi(Evil Doppelganger) and Daisy(love interest) have got nothing

Well this topic was a novel idea.

I like Mario better because of the noises and the voice Luigi makes/has in various games. I personally am not huge fans of either character (I'm sorry, I just hate how there is no character development of any kind in Mario games. You can smack me with that trout now), but I love the actual games.

I wish Mario would talk more!

I wouldn't call Wario a doppelganger.

It depends on the game, I prefer luigi in smb2 but mario in most other games.

I like them both. Mario because I like his voice and I keep doing the same and Luigi because...well, I guess it´s because he´s the Mr. Green Mustached Marvel and a good lil bro for someone famous who was born to jump. And this famous who was born to jump is Mario.
