If I replied to this topic, you wouldn't like it.

You made this topic. And your sig . . . could be better. Other than that, I'm not sure.

Yeah, I hate it when people make topics like these a week after they join. They think everyone hates them after they make a few dumb threads, post a few replies in an existing thread, or just bring up topics that died over a year ago. Then they try to redeem themselves with a thread like this one.

Well, golly! Didn't see all THAT coming my way! Oh, well....... Forgive and forget, is what I say! ^_^ I'm sorry for reviving dead subjects and being a nuisance........

And you just used that horrible text face. It makes me angry.
Let me away from this boulder!

Sorry, my fellow Washingtonian, but ^_^ is not horrible. It is in fact an emoticon of great worth, having originated in Japan in the form (^_^) and having served as the inspiration for the Deezer smile.

Sometimes I use ^-^ as a variation, if ^_^ looks too weird in a certain font.

am I allowed to use an old cliched word to express myself? If I can, then I would like to say that Master Mario is getting served.

Any and all text faces are horrible travesties on this earth. They aided the assassination of the English language. They spawned "lol" and brutally slaughtered grammar as we knew it. Every text face I see is like a flaming sword in my heart.

Haha.... you're goofy! Goofy people are good people in my book!

...and that is why Lizard Dude rocks our world.
I don't care what people think of me, in a way. Well, what stupid people think of me. I distinguish stupid people by how they treat myself and others, but if they're just like that, I try to steer clear of them. I'm also horribly self-conscious, and if people talk about me in bad ways, they don't really have the authority to categorize me by that. Only I do.
Jeez, I always talk about myself. I should learn to "show and not tell".

That's a way to be! Just ignore the haters! You the man Markio. (sorry for the cheezeyness)

Percisely. M. Mario, I cannot help but enjoy your comic jovialness. I do believe that too many text-faces is harmful to the public health, but the occasional is actually helpful.

People who are uninformed, lazy, or simply without regard write poorly; the use of pictures created with text does not automatically contribute to this. Even 1337 does not necessarily lend itself to mangled English when used appropriately. And Internet messages are pretty much the only medium where such things are appropriate.

Heh, the day when people WRITE like that on a regular basis will be the day I die.
-
Off-topic, I know, but I've often wondered: what does "lol" mean, anyway?
-
If you want to laugh in a post, use lol.
-
LOL is an acronym for "laughing out loud." It's more fun if you actually say something rather than just typing the acronym, though.

OK. Thanks.
