Title: Super Mario 2

Mario 2 is one of my favorite mario games because its like any other mario game on a wikked acid trip. I know the story behind why its so weird. What I wanna know is, am I the only one who feels this way?

Actually, MANY fans have wondered this same thing.  In fact, TMK has a special on the whole SMB2 thing (SMB2 Madness, I think).  In case you didn't already know, the game we know as Super Mario Brothers 2 was actually a completely different game in Japan with Nintendo characters plugged in.  Long story, just read the Special.

As I mentioned in my posting, I am award of the whole doki-doki panic thing (however you say it). To me thats fascinating. I feel, in retrospect if you play the real mario 2 (lost levels) its mario 1 to perfection, the perfect balance of extreme difficulty to a point, but just easy enough for one to be able to beat (at least in my case) after alot of playing.

Back in the day "Super Mario Bros. 2" seemed like a really weird departure from the "Mario" norm, now it's the status quo.
