Say, what's that rule, everyone?

"4. No advertising web sites, unless you are including it as your source of information" ("Fungi Forums")

"There are no such things as stupid questions, just stupid people."

I don't think this is any more a violation of the rules than "Nerd Test".

"At Dukar, we place our emphasis on serving you, supporting
you, and helping you be as successful as possible."

I suppose so... But that was a reference for information. It kind of crosses the line when you realise that Lizard Dude took the test first, proclaimed his score, and then referred to it.

True.  Although not stated in the rules, it would certainly be helpful if anyone posting a thread about a site (or a thread about anything, for that matter) would be the first contributer to the thread.  Don't just ask questions or post sites and see what people think before posting your answers, post your answers in the introduction post.  For example, I haven't visited the site yet.  Why?  For a few reasons:
1. There's no indication to what this site is about.  That's usually a problem.  Is it a large flash animation or quiz?  Is it going to take forever?  Will it be worth my time?
2. There's no commentary to the site.  It's actually pretty helpful when people know what the contributor thought of it.  What did YOU think of it?  Are you mocking it or did you enjoy it so much that you wanted to share it with the people here?
3. Looking at the link, I see a familiar name.  Hmmm... Is this one of those 'refer as many people as possible' things?  Am I going to have to do the same thing to get the full potential of this link?

It doesn't take that long to do this stuff.  And even if it does, 1) it's better than leaving a vague link, and 2) you're not competing against anyone.  The internet is big, and what are the chances that someone's going to post the EXACT same link before you?

Life's a journey, not a race, so stop running.

I hate  that when people spend so much time complaining about where the topic is, or that it's in violation of the rules, rather than answering it.  Jeez!  No one wants to hear you complain.
