I've been tricked!

Karma, Lizard Dude, karma... except Deezer should have made that title.

My dreams are only lucid if I already woke up and it's still dark out but getting closer to sunrise, because by then I'm awake enough to think clearly, but still tired enough to fall asleep thinking about what I want to dream about.  That's why most of the dreams I have before I wake up are more closely related to my daydreams.  If I'm not dreaming lucidly, it's usually about some surreal happenings that almost always include someone looking at me funny.  As if I don't get enough of that during the day...

If your day is bad, a nice comment at night can change everything.

Lucid dreaming always occurs to me near the end of dreams. But that's one out of every 30 dreams. And I don't think I've consciously even had 120 dreams in my lifetime.

Perhaps less... From the top of my head, I can remember around 30 different dreams.

I sometimes am enabled to lucid dream. When I realize I am in a dream, I struggle to stay asleep- I sometimes don't know if I'm still dreaming, or have awoken and imagining the rest of the dream.

After that nasty spider bite, I've been able to have lucid dreams. I usually don't change much, though.

I don't want to sound dumb, but... What's lucid dreaming?

Lucid dreaming is the ability to realize that you are asleep and dreaming. If you realize you are dreaming, you have the advantage to modify the dreamscape (or the dream sequence) to your liking.

EDIT: Markio's description is better.

Lucid Dreaming is where you're asleep and dreaming, but you realize that you're dreaming while you're in your dream and you can basically make whatever you want to happen in your dream happen ...in your dream.

If your day is bad, a nice comment at night can change everything.

Cool! Yes, that happened to me once. I made my dad give me $500 and I went and got lots of Nintendo stuff. Then my stupid alarm went off, and I didn't have my stuff anymore. Since then I haven't been able to do it.

I guess if this were about me it would be titled "the other LD".

Anyway, I also on occasion have a lucid dream when I'm nearly awake but not enoguht o stop dreaming. One time I dreamt I was getting a new DVD and consiously I wanted to be a domestic Sailor Moon Stars DVD which it was. Then I woke up before I could press play on the DVD player...

You know what's strange? Before we go to sleep, we don't want to. Then before we wake up, we don't want to!!!

I don't know if this counts, but sometimes I have dreams where I can make myself do whatever, but not anyone else and I don't realize I'm dreaming... Like my dream about the zombies infesting the school. I whacked the zombie teachers with an exceptionally large stick.

I almost always want to go to sleep.

I love going to sleep, what are you talking about?

Well, if you didn't stay up to an ungodly hour every night, you wouldn't want to go to bed, probably.  Except I think he means the moment one lays down in bed, however tireed one is, one can't just fall asleep right away.  At least that's how it is for me.

Also, this is the the fifteenth post of this thread, on the very first page.  Once it has more pages, people will scroll down and read this before clicking the latest page link.  I should write something good.  I'm tired of seeing Screech's post was edited by CashCrazed in Mario Bar.  What shall I say?  Hmm....  Howzabout this:

END OF PAGE ONE.  TURN PAGE, PLEASE.

Not everyone has their page limit set to 15, though it is the default.

I can't have lucid dreams very frequently. I don't feel the need to control my dreams; they're so strange they are entertaining regardless of what happens in them. I think maybe that one dream where I took over the world might have been the only one I can think of in recent memory. Then again, since it was in anime style for whatever reason (Despite me rarely, if ever, watching anime), it wouldn't be too difficult to realise that it was a dream.

Then again, last night I had a dream that I bombed my AP Physics test today. The day after (That'd be today), I went to school and proceeded to bomb my AP Physics test. Weird.

I don't usually change much in my lucid dreams, either, as my dreams are weird and funny, but I usually always forget them when I wake up, even though I do remember that I changed it.

Brilliant 15th post. I often think about those fateful 15th posts myself. Especially "ahhhhhhhhh your a child predator".

Both of those 15th post bug me too.  It's a little consoling to know that I'm not the only one.

I lucid dreamed a long time ago.  I should try it again.
