I was watching G4 E3 05 and it is confirmed that the revolution will be smaller in its final version. They have also confirmed DDR with Mario, Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, and the Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess coming out in the U.S. However, many people are saying this junk about the Revolution. One of the hosts saw DDR Mario and they said that Mario is a whore. I was speechless. Why are people like this? Also the Nintendo DS sold more than the PSP in Japan thanks to Nintendogs. Also the executive at Nintendo said about launch titles for the Revolution. They said that they would make sure Smash Bros.is one of them. Also the new GBA will be really small. Including the screen.

Oh my gosh, that host you mentioned was a %*&#$@! jerk!
Sorry about that, but anybody who hates Mario like that must really be rotten to the core. People like that make me so mad!!!

IS. It was playable at E3.

Why in the world would they say that about Mario? How stupid.

He's entitled to his own opinion, but he didn't have to call Mario that!

"Whore" is the dumbest word to use to describe Mario in this situation. I quote one fellow member's sig: "Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, no matter how WRONG they are."

How ignorant can you get? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, no matter how bad it is.
Let's say, in my opinion, Bill Gates is a power-hungry whore who's willing to take over the world with his Xbox and Windows OS. Some Xbox fans and Mac-Haters would say I am an idiot for having that opinion, and that I should have no right to have it. But, it's my opinion, and I'm entitled to it, and I most likely won't change it (though my REAL opinion of Bill Gates is entirely different), and arguing it would be completely stupid.
Now, we go back to this guy, who says Mario is a whore. Though I don't agree with him, he can have his opinion on it, and I accept that. Saying he has no right to that opinion is, to put it bluntly, moronic.
I'm done.

No, one of his own friends. Probably because he doesn't need to because you aren't "required to" on the Internet. He claims to be in a college English class, anyway.

Uh, you're the one who is wrong. How do you know he hasn't tried Mario games? How do you know he hasn't tried it before that little thing before he said Mario was a whore? He never said he didn't ever play Mario games, so I am sure he can have his opinion.
And admit it, the only reason you're leaving this topic is because you know you're wrong and we proved you wrong. :P

Vid wasn't defending that guy for disliking Mario, he was defending his right to have an opinion. If we couldn't have opinions, why would we have elections and polls and stuff? That guy made himself sound stupid by his choice of words, and I at least don't like the idea of Mario DDR, but calling him a whore was a bad choice of words.
Why get so controversial over something you saw on TV? It's a game; that was some guy; he said something from the other side of the spectrum. Personally, I would be more worried about finals and the end of the school year than what TEENAGERS from the INTERNET said about what a GUY ON TV said about VIDEO GAMES.
And Finally: Wouldn't it be funny if they called it "DDR MARIO"? Maybe not, actually... well, I thought it was for a second... but that's just my OPINION... I probably shouldn't have put "teenagers" in caps... OK, I'm going to stop talking now, bye.

Dude, all I did was defend the guy's right to have an opinion. I love Mario games. The guy who called him a whore obviously doesn't, but hey, diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks. Do I care that he hates Mario? Not in the least.
As for sunbun, he's weird. Don't pay too much attention to him.
-
Heh, G4 really sucks then I guess. But I have to admit, how many Mario spinn-off games have their been this past generation? Around 10? Compare that to how many actual adventure Mario games have been made, 3 (with ports not included), you begin to see where G4 is coming from. But I still hate them, with other reasons *remembers DKC feedback*
Grrrr
-
Why do you guys care so much about what some weird host guy says? He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about, because a "whore" is someone who is "corrupted by lewd intercourse" or something along those lines. Which is completely out of context and personally doesn't make much sense to me. We love Mario, he doesn't, deal with it.
Remeber this: We Americans have freedom of speech. But also, we have the freedom to listen. So if you don't like how people are using freedom of speech, don't listen to them. It's that simple.

No, "freedom of speech" means people can say whatever they want.
Also, G4 is stupid in general. Why are you watching them?
-
Your all rong! I win!
-
Chup, you can't say anything you want. You can't give away national secrets. Yell "fire" in a crowded theater. Discuss pornography or bomb making with a the neighborhood kids. Etc.
Though, it's not just political free speech.

Ah yes, Luigison. I wasn't thinking about that kind of thing.
And, like it or not, the guy did have a "right" to say that. All he meant by it is that they're basically sticking Mario in almost every conceivable type of game, and he was expressing distaste with it. Not a good choice of words, but still, I don't see why you're all freaking out about it.
-
I am not "freaking out" and agree with CW's previous post.

Did Lizard Dude use the term liberal?
I'm a moderate/centrist with both conservative and liberal leanings. That is, on some issues I'm strongly on one side, but overall both/all sides average out. I feel strongly that the US should have secure borders, but neither of the two big poitical power seem to be willing to do that for fear of losing votes. I'm tired of the current two party system that I think was never intended by our forefathers.
Have you ever took a test like these?
http://typology.people-press.org/typology/
http://www.politicalcompass.org/
I took a similiar one a long time ago, but can't find it now. Maybe I'll take one again sometime.
Anyway, I can't base all my political believes on "sound conservative literature". I try to read ALL sides.

What is the truth of anything? What are you trying to say? Stop politically labeling people and laughing at others for their opinions. That guy on TV constitutionally had the right to say those exact words, otherwise he would be arrested by now. It seems you think that a person doesn't have a right to speak if they disagree on a subject, but if that be the case, then we might as well not have different political "groups" or whatever. I'm not saying you should agree with "us" or "them", but you could take disagreements a little less harshly and respond a little less harshly. Or tell us how you came to feel the way you do; that sounds more interesting than telling everybody that they're "Liberal consecutive islanders" or "totalitarian lethargics" or whatever, while claiming to be a "Neo-cubist refridgerator".
I don't know much about politics, but I do know that people don't have to be so rude to each other because they feel differently about things.

Hehe, I was going to complain about how stupid of a response this was to my argument, but then realized that I had made no argument in this thread! Just a joke-y one-liner quote. So I guess this is all I deserve.
> There are so many boring, generic sports games out there... Mario is needed to make them reasonably interesting.
Yes! Sports is the only videogame genre that I can't stand, yet I love all the Mario ones. The only other sports games I've liked are NBA Jam and NFL Blitz, neither of which resemble their sport at all. Coincidence?

I just figured that I'd add that I probably agree, although that comment holds no water whatsoever as an argument.
And Mega Man's Soccer is good too.

Geez, I thought this argument was to die out at the end of the second page.
