Title: Wish we were there.
Post by: superstarMASIAH on June 01, 2005, 05:01:26 PM
I thought I'd better make this a seperate topic, other than posting it in "Who are you?"  But really people, I need some straight up answers.

Right now I seem to be going through this phase where I listen to this one song constantly.  I'm saying, about 30 times a day.  Its called "Wish you were here" by Roger Waters (leed singer of Pink Floyd, after Syd Barret was diagnosed with a mental instabilaty)  I dont know why it makes me depressed and happy at the same time.  I just think about this one girl I really like, whenever I hear the song.  And I think about how I really dont know how to tell her.  It feels like Highschool is going by so fast, and if I dont tell her soon, I'll never be able to be with her again.  I guess I just really feel like I wish she was here, with me.  Do any of you get me?  I NEED AN ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you should tell her, man.

It really sucks not to take a risk with the ladies. Talk to her, see what's what, scope things out, whatever you need to do. Just don't let things go by unsaid or unknown.

I also know what you're saying about the song. Personally I love 'Wish you were here', but I remember that U2's 'The Sweetest Thing' really struck a chord with me and the relationship I had with this one chick I knew when I was quite a bit younger.

Which parts of Wish You Were Here are you listening to?

Personally, I don't think that song can represent a situation like that, aside from the title.
At least you know your Pink Floyd history. :)

...Oh yeah, go ahead and talk to this person.

I'm talking about the part where he sais

"  We're just two lost souls,
swimin in a fishbowl, year after year.
Runnin over the same old ground.
And how we found,
the same old thing.
Wish you were here."

It just makes me think, that we are in the same place everyday, but we fail to talk to eachother as much as we used to.  And that we see each other in the same place everyday, but niether of us has the guts to come out to eachother.  And when we used to talk to eachother, we could have had the chance, but we didnt take it.  And now I kind of regret it.  Get me?

Yes, you should talk to her, and eventually, tell her how you feel. Do it, do it! ^_^

Don't let me bog you down, but let me inform you that giving this bit of information can make parting even more excruciating. I say this out of experience.

Well, after days of wondering what to write, I'll just write whats been on my mind lately.  I'm thinking how she would react to it.  Its very hard to tell.  Plus, a friend of mine likes her, but I already found out that she dosnt.  But he's not a really good friend.  Too much to think about.  I dont think shes ever been dating anybody else in her life.  Me, either, perfecto.  Oh but how I think of her so.  I think of her so much, that I can actually think of a song that describes the feeling I get when shes around.  Its called "Communication breakdown" by the Led.  Every thing I love is her.  I have all the things I love, but in all one package, so its like a big smothering love.  I love her so much.  I just cant fathom it!!!!!  I'm a crazy fool, someone slap me, before I turn into a looneytoon.

Ho ho ho ho, what a fool. You won't love her after she smashes your heart into TINY LITTLE BITS AND CRUSHES YOUR SELF-ESTEEM. INFACT YOU'LL PHOTOSHOP HER FACE AND POST IT ON FORUMS JUST TO-- *ahem* I mean, uhh.. yeah. Go ahead. Get your heart stepped on. It's better than hitting yourself for never doing it, right?

I just said "The Led" because I forgot how to spell Zeppelin.  But I'm really starting to question who other people view me as.  I never have asked anyone.  I think they may think of me as a no-one.  Because thats what they kind of treat me as.  I always viewed me as a kind of cool kid, that keeps to himself.  But I dont say anything to anyone, but they say krap like "Come on, you little girl"  And I dont retaliate.  I just sit there and ignore them.  Using my description, what do you people view me as?

SM, I really think you should tell her how you feel. In situations like this, you only think about all the bad things that could happen. Think of the positive things, like maybe she will agree she feels the same way. You never really know until you try. And even if she says no, at least you know to move on. It's hard, but sometimes you gotta just do it and see what happens...

This is getting way out of hand.  Now im getting dreams of her, in almost perfect detail.

Al Pacino came out of the theater...  Bruce Willis came out of the T.V...  But Mel Gibson, came out of nowhere.

Well, she's still in the same school as me.  Yet another year to plan out how I will pursue her.  Highschool is so incredibly awesome:P  Now isnt that an overrated statement or what?  First time I saw her on the first day I started sweating like it was 105 degrees in there.  It was either her or my afro, or it could have been both combined.

Hurry the heck up and go out with her!  Sheesh!  Or why don't you just ask HER for advice in this situation?

I pretty much think that asking Internet "friends" that you never met before for relationship advice is funny.

Well, if I knew them ok like Markio, I know how he acts, I'd use it, but if it was someone who I was unsure about, chances are pretty much out of sight

My point was pretty much the same as Koopaslaya's.  It's very strange to keep your internet friends updated on this girl you haven't even gone out with yet.  I'm not claiming that's what Koopaslaya meant though.

If in your last post you said you know how I act, that's not really true.  If that was even what you said.  I act very... bipolar with people.  I think a lot more clearly than I act.  I'm not accusing you of being stupid or anything.  I don't even know if you meant that you know how I act when you said, "Well, if I knew them ok like Markio, I know how he acts...".

Personally, I don't have any experience with girls.  I either don't feel worthy of older girls and I avoid younger girls because I wouldn't want them to be with someone like me.  Mostly because I don't actually show "myself" to people, and they'd be liking the "polite" me.  You know, like manners and all that.  So in a situation like this, all I could do is just go through it.  Like, I wouldn't have a negative or positive outlook on it, I'd just... well, I'd do it.  Not to be bland, just be yourself.

TEM, you say "emo" as though it were a bad thing.

All I read was the first post.

Girls are so depressing.

Just the enormous pressure of getting a girlfirend, and if you don't have one you're a loser!
I hate to think about it...

Just, go with what you think is right.

Personally, I think some girls when they tell a boy that they like, that they like them, the girls come on a little too strong...  Either that or they just plain dont care what the boy thinks about them.  I say this because some girls that I naturally dont like have asked me out and just cant take the hint that I do not wish to go out with them.  I put it very politly and plain, but when they start stalking me or telling lies to people that I am going out with them, or talk about me openly.  Thats where I draw the line and no more mister nice guy(should be read while playing Alice Coopers "No more Mr Niceguy") And I have to let them learn the hard way.  Which I in fact do not like to do....

Well, Superstar M., you should at least honor yourself with the fact that your are asked. Even if you don't like the "askees."

Not very much people talk to me at my school. For some reason, people see me as far too aloof, despite the fact that I desperately try to break down this barrier.

Haha, rocks, let me right that down.....  Well, I guess I should honor myself a little, but I'm not too fond of most of the girls or who they hang out with(beleive me, I do not judge someone on what I hear about them, I judge them on how I witness them, as in how they act)
