Title: Unused Music Tracks from Mario 64 Snow Levels
Post by: Maxtream on August 13, 2005, 08:35:39 PM
I was reading the newest edition of Nintendo Power and in an Interview with the person (name I forget, Japanese guy though) who is composing the music for the new Zelda game and who did the music for Mario 64, he said that when composing music he needed to see the level first before creating the song so he could feel the "mood" or something like that. Anyway this lead to him recalling a predicament he had during Mario 64 where he said that he was asked to create music for the Snow Levels (Cool, Cool Mountain, Snowman's Land) and he finished a song for those...but when he saw what the levels actually looked like he said that he created a whole new song (the one thats in the game today with the accordian and jingle bells). So what I want to know is where you can find this "Missing Song". Has anyone else heard about this?

They probably never programmed it into the game.

Yes, but is the Music File out on the internet? Can it still be accessed?

Maybe you should ask Nintendo for it.

I have a feeling NOA doesn't have it, either.

NCL might, though.
