Title: Books online
Post by: superstarMASIAH on November 09, 2005, 05:25:32 PM
Does anyone know a site where I can print off published books for free?  I have this one really good book I want to read for school, but my mom wont let me check it out of the public library, heck, she would let me read it if I owned it. :P

Umm, that is a bad thing to do. Plagarisim, COPYING COPYRIGHT MATERIAL, and GETTING THINGS FOR FREE WITHOUT THE PUBLISHERS YES will get you arrested. Besides, why won't your mom let you get it in a librar? It's free. Your mom must not be thinking very clearly...

I'm talking about where you can print out the copyright too, it isnt illegal if your not selling it.  My mom, I guess saw the movie of the book, and did not like the movie....

Movie?! What! Movies, as you may know, are often based on good books but ruined by bad acting, bad directing, deleted chapters, and other things. Take Harry Potter 3. It was still a good movie, but it could have been better and more consistent. Like, that hill at the bottom of which Hagrid's house was located? That wasn't in the books OR any of the preceding movies! And Harry's supposed to get his Firebolt before learnng the Patronus Charm, which is WAAAAY before the end!

Corn is no place for a mighty warrior!

My mum keeps trying to buy me 'appropriate' books, yet they always end up turning violent.

Whoever told you that lied.  Anyway, to find legal ones, just type "online free library" in Google.  Project Gutenburg is the most famous place for that.

That's because A Clockwork Orange is relatively new.  It still has a valid copyright.

I think the real issue is your mother's policy... Surely, you could change her mind.

The book version of A Clockwork Orange is more explicit than the film.

My mother once said that I would be able to see the movie when I was 17 and read the book NEVER.

Of course, I proved her wrong, but that's beside the point.

Anyway, downloading the book would be online piracy, and you don't want to be an online pirate, do you?  DO YOU?
