Probably because it was my first Zelda game.
OoT Link is a close second.

The adult Link from Ocarina of Time. He's what I thought Link should have always looked like.

Well, I'm glad Namco kept the style of Ocarina of Time when they made Soul Calibur 2 (the BEST fighting game ever, along with Smash Bros. Melee).

I can beat anyone with Link, both in Soul Calibur 2 and Smash Bros.!

That reminds me of my friend, he claimed that he could beat anyone with Mario in the origional Smash Bros. I later visited his house and took the challenge, Stock: 10 stage: Yoshi's Island Kirby (me) vs. Mario (him). I won in less than four minuits, loosing only two stock, breifley after a beat anyone claim  similar to yours. So my question to you is: How do you know you can beat anyone with link, not having played against everyone? Well, I suppose anyone could beat anyone, depending on their luck and the other player's circumstances, so nevermind.

Anyway, my favorite link has to be either OoT or LttP. Them or SSB:M's link.

The Link in Super Smash Bros. is the same one from Ocarina of Time.
