Title: Happy Turkey Day!!
Post by: gunblade88 on November 24, 2005, 11:25:56 AM
What will you do this turkey day?

I'll probably just sit at home and watch the Cowboys today. Eat eat eat :D :D Food is good. And my stepmoms family will be coming over. Yes, that's the highlight of my day. Anyone else have any exciting things that they do?

Well, for dinner, I plan to eat some turkey, some stuffing, and some biscuits.

Seeing as I just woke up, the parade should have long since ended. (But, I don't watch it anyway, so....)

So, uh, that's it.

I'm going to take a picture of everything I eat and post it in here.

We just have a nice meal as a family here. We don't usually go anywhere, or have anyone over.

If I hadn't slept through the parade, I might've watched that for a few.

No offense, but "Turkey Day" sounds like some politically-correct term for Thanksgiving.

Anyway, I'm about to eat dinner shortly.

No, Turkey Day just happened to be on the same day as Thanksgivng this year.  Turkey Day is when we all celebrate our luck of not being born as turkeys, as we therefore won't get slaughtered.

I'm sitting here at my aunt's house on wireless watching an inane halftime show and posting on the forums. I ate some pie earlier. I don't like Thanksgiving food.

Heheh. . .yes, poor defenseless turkeys.

ahem . .. Turns out it was just me my dad my bro and my stepmom eating turkey and ham and every other thing that comes with thanksgiving. It was like a normal day with lots of good food. Of course I do remember to be grateful for everything that I've been given (good and bad), I mean that is the point of Thanksgiving right?

:)

Yeah, I had Thanksgiving dinner, but I didn't take a lot of everything, just a little of everything so it adds up to what a normal dinner adds up to, except I took a lot of mashed potatoes because I like mashed potatoes, but the weird thing is that I didn't eat any turkey.  There was turkey there, but I didn't want any and didn't eat any.  It's not like I'm vegetarian or proclaiming that I think it's wrong, it just sort of happened that I didn't eat any.  i was also the only one at the table who didn't drink any champagne.  One of my brothers is off somewhere working and that makes me sad that he couldn't be here.

I got up surprisingly early and decided to watch the parade.  Afterwards, I went to my aunt's house to see my family and we ate, ate, and ate some more.  I had turkey, stuffing, corn, deviled eggs and a pinch of chocolate afterwards.  I decided not to try the peacon pie, but simply knowing that it was there to be enjoyed made quite a difference.  Strange, I know.

I... don't... like... turkey. Stuffing is good, bread is good, pumpkin, pecan, and walnut pie is good... I just don't like turkey. It's all dry so you can't swallow it and then you chew it and chew it but it's there and you can't get rid of it so then someone asks you a question but you can't answer because you've got turkey in our mouth that you can't swallow... yeah. But that stuffing was the best! I think I got a couple of inches taller with all the mushrooms in it...

Eggnog is the secret ingredient to pumpkin pie. No other way to make it if there's no eggnog.

You of all people shouldn't be eating turkey, Bird Person! XD

Our family went to a friends house for Thanksgiving.  It was fun, but I didn't eat as much as I usually do because I was worried some people wouldn't get enough (I hate that guilty feeling).  But I finally got to play DDR for the first time and had so much fun.  I got really tired eventually but kept playing, so now I bet that I didn't gain a pound from the meal.

Chicken is drier than turkey; what are you talking about?

I don't like chicken either. Too plain and tasteless.
