Yes, I have come back out of the depths... so I was looking at David Wonn's glitch site, when I found some interesting combo glitches for SSB. Here is a video of one of them:

I feel sorry for DK.
He used Mario tornado right?
-
Yeah, I used Mario Tornado. If my computer were not crap that whole attack would have taken about 1 second (I tried it on an N64).
-
I've known about that for a long time, it also works with super jump punch.
-
I don't want to download the thing, so what's in the video?
-
Mario and DK are in training mode. Mario (Human-controlled) makes 4 green shells appear, moves DK into them, does a Mario Tornado. DK's damage shoots up to 999% and he falls on a platform above. Mario jumps up and attacks him and DK is KO'd instantly.
-
Oh. I've done that before in the original.
-
I tried doing it in Melee but it doesn't work.
-
It worked for me. I just did it. With the Super Jump Punch.
-
In melee? Are you serious?
-
No. I meant I just sorta did it a few times in the original SSB.

It IS possible in SSBM, but you have to do it in a place where the shells can't spread out. For example, go to Green Greens, and shape the blocks on one side like a U, with you in the middle. Then put the enemy under the "Human" setting, and move it into the U also. Then fill it with shells and use an attack that does not damage the surrounding blocks too much... the audio stops for a few seconds if you did it right, and you usually havve 100+ combo and 999% damage a piece.
