Here's my topic! We can post here about the latest movie we've watched and all about it!
I've watched Simon Birtch. It was rated PG but it should've got a PG-13. I'll edit my post later and give more detail cause I'm gonna get in trouble if I don't!
-
The last movie I watched was Stargate. It was made in 1994.
-
I watched Brokeback Mountain this morning. Pretty good movie, even if the ending was brutal.
-
Ah, Stargate. Cool music, different enemy than used in SG-1. I, personally, like the symbiotes better.
The most recent movie I watched was Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Wererabbit while I was babysitting my sister. There were plenty of laughs.
-
Wait a minute, this is in the wrong board!
Oh well, the last movie I watched was Charlie and the Cocolate Factory (new). The last movie I saw for the first time was, in fact, Wallace and Gromit, during the Valentine's Day party at school. It was a lot better than I expected.
-
If I recall correctly, the last film I saw in the movies was "Fun with Dick and Jane". I liked it, it was good.
Other recent movies I saw:
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
The Weatherman
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
I plan on going to see Cars on my last day of classes.

Uh... what? Different enemy? In Stargate the enemy is: a Goa'uld. In Stargate SG-1 the (main) enemy(ies) is: a Goa'uld?
-
Okay, movies I've seen recently(by that I mean in the last month)...
-Corpse Bride. Funny, bordering on creepy.
-March of the Penguins. If you like penguins, you gotta check it. It's cute beyond belief.
-Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. It's really, REALLY funny.
-Eight Below. Saw it this weekend and I loved it. There's this scary part with a leapord seal, but other then that, it's great. I cried when two of the dogs died.
-Curious George. Yeah, I know what you're gonna say. "You're too old to watch that kinda stuff." No, I'm not. You're never too old to watch a good family-friendly movie.
And that's it.
-
Pink Panther. I have to say it was really funny, but it got pretty suggestive.
-
Last movie I saw was Batman Begins. Before that, Underworld: Evolution. Before that... I don't remember.
-
The last movie I saw in theaters was King Kong. I was about to say it pwns, but that would be too juvenile. It's just really really good. Better than the original, in fact, and not just because of the special effects.
-
I cried when two of the dogs died.
Well thanks for spoiling it for me.
-
Lizard Dude: Don't you remember? The bobdy-inhabiting species in the movie Stargate looked more like Asgard than the Goa'uld we know now. Or used to know.
Edit: I was going to change that typo, but it reminded me of Luigison's borken.
-
I watched The Sixth Sense two days ago. I like that movie, I don't care what anyone else says. I also watched Clue once everyday for the previous three days. I don't plan on watching it today...
-
Hmm... I think the last movie I saw was Clue, as well. Before that, Kate and Leopold, which I actually liked, despite not being a "chick-flick" person. I saw these movies over Christmas break.
In theaters, the last movie I can think of that I saw was War of the Worlds (loved it), which I saw over the summer.
Yes, I don't watch movies very often. I spend too much time online to. XD
Rarely do I ever just sit down and watch a movie, even though there are lots of movies I'd like to see. The only times I do so are when I'm with friends or something.
-
Well, I watched The Jerk last night on TV. And before that, I think the last movie I saw was The Matador. I saw it in a tiny theatre. And I got stuck in the front row. But it was a really good movie, so it all works out in the end.
-
I don't watch many movies, neither.
The last few I saw and loved were Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire; Meet the Parents(Yes, I just now saw it); Meet the Fockers; and Family Guy Season Four.
I thought March or the Penguins wasn't going to be out until summer...? You live in the USA, right? Mabey I'm thinking of a different movie...
Like I said, I barely watch movies.
By the way, pt_peach I thought you said a different word other than Birtch the first time I read that. I was thinking "Whoa, you actually swore...????"
-
By the way, pt_peach I thought you said a different word other than Birtch the first time I read that. I was thinking "Whoa, you actually swore...????"
Same, but the words are still censored, but I saw you say "Fockers" ....
-
Well thanks for spoiling it for me.
I'm sorry! But I'm not telling you which ones, so I won't completely spoil it for you!! :)
-
I've been watching the Matrix, but I've also seen The Passion. It was really scary, and bloody too.
-
Yeah, but the scene with Jesus in it was cool. Especially when that guy was like "AAAGH!"
-
Suffix: The "bobdy-inhabiting species in the movie Stargate" was the Goa'uld System Lord, Ra. Asgard? What Stargate are you watching?
-
I wouldn't swear on here, Khold lol! I don't let myself say the title "Meet the Fockers" because in real life, It's hard for me to say that without swearing and I'd get in total trouble.
-
Yes, Lizard Dude, it's Ra. In the movie, however, the alien that inhabited the guy that stepped forward looked like an Asgard.
-
What do you mean, the alien that inhabited the guy? Are you talking about how Ra looked?
-
Yes. "...looked like an Asgard."
-
Final Destination 2 was on TV tonight after the usual shows I watch, and it looked interesting, so I decided to watch it. Man, that movie was totally freaky.
-
I've never seen Final Destination. What's it about?
-
Synopsis (http://www.deathiscoming.com/synopsis.html)
Wow, it's rated R? I probably wouldn't've been able to handle watching the original version, since I generally don't like R movies. The version I saw on TV was TV-14, so it wasn't as bad.
-
Don't just a movie by it's ratings.
I saw Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the WereRabbit today, and my brother fell asleep. When I saw it in the theater, my mother fell asleep. I don't think the movie is that boring, it's probably the best G-rated movie one could see, mainly because of the visual effects and Gromit's facial reactions. It seemed much like a long Wallace and Gromit episode, which it was, in a way.
-
I generally don't like R movies.
-
You didn't use bold in the original post! Liar!
-
Yes, Lizard Dude, it's Ra. In the movie, however, the alien that inhabited the guy that stepped forward looked like an Asgard.
I think what you mean is the alien inhabited by Ra. The Goa'uld can use more than humans and Unas for hosts. Ra was just using something weird, but he was still a snake-like symbiote inside there.
-
I think I'd better watch Stargate again. My confidence hasn't faded yet.
-
The only problem here is that you said you liked the symbiote enemies (Goa'uld) from SG-1 better than the enemy from original movie. However, the series and movie both have Goa'uld as enemies. You never actually see one in the movie and rarely see one in the show because they're inside the body of the host. You see the host. It's true that Ra was in a weird, Asgard-looking host. Goa'uld in the show are usually inside human hosts.
I guess you're saying you like Goa'uld in human hosts as an enemy better than a Goa'uld in some funky host (because it's in reality just some alien they made for the movie before the concept of Goa'uld symbiotes even existed and we have to retroactively go back and warp the movie's original ideas to fit the info that came later).
-
The movies I've seen recently:
Tim Burton's Corpse Bride
Anchorman
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Part One)
-
Same, but the words are still censored, but I saw you say "Fockers" ....
Yeah, but what about the Bond villian names like ***** Galore, Octo***** and Booby McBoobsalot?
-
I saw "The Simple Life of Noah Dearbourne". It was rated R or PG-13 but it was a pleasent movie. Nothing bad. It didn't even deserve to be mentioned for strong language
-
This is something kind of related to movies. In my drama class, I'm was going to be in a scene from LotR: TT, where Goullom or something and Smeagol or something are arguing. At first, it was going to be just me onstage fight myself, which I would have loved, but to be fair I'm doing it with another kid who does a very good impression of the movie person. So now I have to do an equally good imitation or I'm toast.
-
As a last remark, Lizard Dude, I'm pretty confused. I thought that Ra was the funky looking alien just as the landing ship exploded.
-
We watched Saw the other night. My wife was disgusted during and scared afterward, but the next day she asked me to rent Saw II.
-
Is she still pregnant?
-
Is she still pregnant?
Yes. About 14 weeks now.
-
So Saw did not hurt the baby.
Yes, that funky looking alien is Ra, but Ra is Goa'uld, so Ra is actually a worm controlling the body of the funky looking alien, who used to have free will. What you see is the host of Ra, being controlled by Ra, usually referred to as Ra.
-
The host was a human, sir.
-
I think I'd better watch Stargate again. My confidence hasn't faded yet.
-
I have been watching The Incredibles over and over again.
-
The last movie I saw was Getbackers. Probably around a few days ago.
-
What is this "Getbackers"?
-
It's a movie.
-
What's it about?
-
I recently saw "House of Wax" which was all kinds of meh, and before that I saw "Batman Begins" which was pretty good.
-
I have recently seen the following movies:
The Pink Panther (twice in the last week.)
The Little Rascals
Aladdin
Star Wars IV. (Actually, I haven't watched my SW movies much lately.)
Rocky II.
Rocky V.
-
I saw Corrina, Corrina. It was a cute, sweet little movie. Rated PG. I sometimes watch PG-13 movies if they don't have you-know-what ->-
-
What, cussing or... it?
-
Not cussing, you-know-what and yep, it.
-
Violence.
-
No, I think they mean scenes containing kicks to the groin. Those are simply painful to watch.
...
UUUUUGH, I thought about it.
-
I saw the movie Robots, and besides amazing visuals, it actually kind of stuck to a lesson the whole way through, so I liked it more than other Dreamworks movies. I'm pretty sure it was made by Dreamworks... the makers of Ice Age, anyway.
I take it I am the only person that saw Disney's High School Musical.
-
I didn't see it XD! I liked Robots. I loved it when the robot was dancing to "Right Thur" IT was so funny!
-
Gah, the only movie that's showing that I have interest on is Getbackers. I watched it again primarily because I didn't know about it the last time I watched.
-
I take it I am the only person that saw Disney's High School Musical.
You're not. I've watched it several times. In fact, I'm watching it right now. IMO, it's Disney Channel's best movie.
-
I went on a Pokemon movie marathon yesterday. I watched every single Pokemon movie, one right after the other. Not the 8th one, though, that one's not here yet.
-
Date Movie. I saw that on Sunday, and that was really funny. It's time some of those really lame romantic comedys were made fun of.
I'm not saying all romantic comedys are bad though. I enjoyed both Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers.
