Title: Mario Amusement Park Rides
Post by: spamspamspamspam on June 11, 2006, 08:00:12 AM
The other day, me and a friend of mine came up with this idea for a Mario-Themed Amusement Park, but we couldn't think of that many rides that would be in it, so we wnated to find out what you thought.

We would also accept game ideas too, like Fire Flower Skee Ball.

-A Bowser-themed roller coaster.
-Peach's Castle (like the one from DisneyLand)
-One of those 3D movie-type rides featuring Wing Cap Mario.
-Donkey Kong-themed gondola-type ride.
-Toad Town Square (mix of Toon Town and Main Street)
-Wario-themed bumper car-ish ride.
-Yoshi-themed area for small children.
-Rainbow Road-type indoor sub-park.
-SMS-themed water ride.

That's all I cna think of of the top of my head. I'll post more later.

The Bowser-themed one would obviously be called Bowser's Castle, which could end with you just going under a jumping Bowser (think the Indiana Jones giant rock) and knocking down the ax. Looking back will show him falling in the lava.
Gadd's gifts could also feature a vaccuum made to look like the Poltergust 3000.
One of those sudden-drop rides (like the new Tower of Terror in CA Adventures)... Those scale bars. The ride could look like those annoying bars that raise one while you stand on the other and eventually both fall off. The ride could go like this: There are two pillars where you are seated with an air shield so you can breathe and such, and while one goes up, the other goes down. Those things are so freakin' awesome...
Whack-A-Goomba would be more appropriately called "Goomba Thumping," like in SMRPG.

There could be a parade. Like the alphabet parade at Sesame Place. It would probably look like the parades from the ending of SMRPG and PM1

Yoshi-go-round: like the one in Pinna Park on SMS, only it'd be decorated with a SMW environment
Chain Chomp Coster
FLUDD Tag: Watery version of Paintball

One of the county fairs in my state has a little Mario Brother themed obstical course-like thing.  You climb around, and go through a twirling thing, and eventually go down a slide.  At the bottom of the slide, theres a picture of the Bros.  One of them is pointing up toward the slide, and is like, "Mama-Mia!"  It's been a while since I last saw it, so I'm not sure it's still around.

Or how 'bout a theme park for all popular Nintendo games?

A Link-Themed archery range would go there. That would actually be pretty awesome.

-The water ride I mentioned before could be a giant FLUDD.
-There could be a Luigi's Mansion-themed haunted house.
-There could also be a sub-park devoted to WarioWare and stuff.

The Mario Kart racing can be go-kart racing with working replicas of the Mario gang's karts from MKDS (cause the MKDS karts would be safer to ride in than the classic karts).  Two divisions: Single racing and Double Dash.  The Double Dash division would have working replicas of the MKDD karts.  Two people can ride in one kart (obviously).

And they can throw water balloons at eachother, or something like that.

I think "The Mushroom Kingdom" sounds better, IMO.

Maybe have it start with a Mario themed park, but eventually I know I'd want them to branch out into the other main franchises.  Metroid, Zelda, Pokemon and Kirby all have plenty of stuff that'd convert into awesome theme park attractions.

Obviously Peach's castle would be the centerpiece, even if it is blatantly ripping off Disney... hmm, maybe Nintendo and Disney could make it a joint project...?  That'd make for one HELL of a theme park.

If they made it a joint project, then it would end up being a sub-park within Disneyland. Not that that's a bad thing, mind you.

If it counts, Nintendo had a pokemon themed amusement park last year, but it was never open anywhere outside Japan. Plus, it was only opened for a couple of months. If Nintendo made a theme park, It would be based on all of Nintendo's francises.

The Mario themed rides would include:
- A large mario roller coaster that tours the entire park.
- Mario kart bumper cars.
- A Glooper Blooper water slide
- A "Luigi's mansion haunted house"

If they made it a joint project, then it would end up being a sub-park within Disneyland. Not that that's a bad thing, mind you.

That would probaly be the most likly thimg to happen if nintendo wanted to make an amusement park.
