We can all pretty much agree that the Game Boy pwns, but one must clearly be superior.
Which one is the superior one to you?
-
Game Boy Light. Indiglo!
-
Seeing as I've only owned two Game Boys in my life (An extreme green Game Boy Pocket, and an Indigo Game Boy Advance)...
Um.......The Game Boy Advance can play ALL Game Boy games, so that one. (Not the SP, even though that one has a recharging battery and backlight...)
-
Wait. Are you sure the SP doesn't play all GB games?
-
Game Boy Color, because that thing had a battery life of something like 8 million years.
-
Wait. Are you sure the SP doesn't play all GB games?
It does... but old tilt-based games (Kirby Tilt n' Tumble, for example) will be difficult to control, since the cartridge goes in the other way.
The GBA pwns all the GBs. It plays all GB games, it's not as cramped as the GBASP, and if you have a wormlite you can play it in the dark (not as good as a backlight or frontlight, but it works for me).
-
Game Boy Advance SP. I love the clamshell design and the backlight > wormlight or any other type of light. Yeah it's missing the headphone jack but I don't really care about that. Plus, it got rid of the need to buy more batteries every time they died.
-
I like my GBA, as I nver got a GBASP, and don't feel the need for one. If I'm that desperate for light, I can use my Game Boy Player, which is also awesome.
-
Definitely the GBASP. I bought mine a few months ago, and I'm impressed. I let my brother take my GBA.
The clamshell design helps protect the screen a lot more than the previous GameBoys, which I enjoy much more than the standard design.
The backlight also helps my play games without the annoying wormlight getting in the way.
And of course, the rechargeable battery is just a lot better than switching out normal batteries.
-
Someone voted for "Gameboy Sucks!!!" *GASP*
-
Wait. Are you sure the SP doesn't play all GB games?
I think I worded my sentence incorrectly. What I meant was, I voted for GBA, NOT the GBASP, even though it has a backlight and rechargable battery.
-
Game Boy Light. Indiglo!
Pssh. You're just saying that to be different.
I voted SP, even though I don't have one. With the newer, brighter screens, Game Boy Light looks more like Game Boy [dukar]e, am I right?
-
Game Boy Light is indeed awesome.
DeadAwake is not right.
-
game boy micro....small...tiny...not big....
yep it has it all
-
that thing is too little. My cat ate it!
-
I don't think I'd like the GBM because my hands are big and they'd be cramped. Also, it's basically the DS without the DS's capabilities. By that I mean you can't play GB games (the only reason I kept my GBA). Sure, it still does multiplayer, but you need to get a special cord, then an adapter thing if you want to connect to an older GBA. Size doesn't really matter to me, since I'm always carrying my games around with me anyway, so a GameBoy the size of a Nintendo 64 probably wouldn't even bother me.
-
Game Boy Light is indeed awesome.
DeadAwake is not right.
The former statement does not necessitate the latter. I did not claim the Game Boy Light is not awesome. It is awesome. But compared to the awesomeness of the new SP's, I'm afraid the Light can't hold a candle. There's a pun to be made there somewhere.
-
I'm the only idiot who voted for the classic Game Boy. If the Light Boy was up there I probably would've voted for that.
-
By gameboy light do you mean the GBA:SP that was rereleased with a DS like backlight.
-
No, there is a product called Game Boy Light.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought GBASP had a front light, not a back light? I voted for SP.
EDIT: Now I seem to remember two versions of the SP, the latter of which was advertised as having a brighter screen... so maybe the first version had a front light and the second version had a back light.
-
I see, It's japan only. I guess I'll add it...
-
I'd've loved one of those. Green glow > dark screen w/ colors.
-
Game Boy Player! If I had to pick from your list it'd be the SP though I use handle/grips with mine. I haven't tried playing a GBA game on a DS Lite yet.

GBC Rocks the World!

You got it, Hirocon.
