Yes, I know this is in the wrong forum, couln't post it in a more suitable forum. If this can be moved, it'll be a great help.
Anyway, according to the bottom of the Hummer\Polly Pocket Happy Meal Box, It says Mario is on the way next!

That is awesome.
Now I have a reason for eating there again.
-
I'm not a huge fan of McDonald's food, but this is interesting. I wonder what they'll look like?
But don't get too excited yet. In the second picture down, you'll see the words "Subject to change" above "Up next, Mario & friends happy meal"
-
Deja vu, that's for sure. The first I heard of Mario was the 1990 Happy Meal. I still have the springy toy somewhere.
-
Boy, I haven't had a Happy Meal in so long. Hmm...
-
Mcdondals? I used to eat it, but I don't go there too often anymore.
-
I just hope my McDonald's is done being rebuilt by then. Wi-Fi and Mario Happy Meal toys, I'm lovin' it.
-
Oh, wow! I don't eat at McDonalds very often anymore either. But now I have a reason to eat there. I can't wait to see what they'll look like! I'll may have to increase my risk of high cholesterol and such, but it should be totally worth it! I'll probably be a stupid fatty that loves to play with, not an Easy Bake Oven, but McDonalds Mario toys. :P
-
Oh, Happy day!!! The most recent mario happy meal toys since the wendy's Super Mario Advance toys. If any of you here are old enough to remember, you'll know what I mean, I still have a mario action figure, mario on a Kart, mario being chased by a chain chomp, and other junk from Burger king that was actually all about the nintendo franchise, with yoshi, Link, DK, and kirby, i also remeber a Kirby promotion. I still own kirby on warp star, now I expand my collection!!!
-
May I see a picture of the Link one? I wanna know what it looks like so I can, one day, find one on eBay.
-
Sure thing, I think I know the excact place to find it, and mabye a place to buy it!
-
I must be the minority here. I eat at McDonald's more than any other fast food! Look for a post in the miscelanneous section about this...I'm making one real soon.
-
Wahaha! Confirmation of the toys has arrived! I was watching TV and all of a sudden a commercial with Mario music came on. It was the commercial for the new Mario toys. I actually received one in my meal today (actually, it's a long story). It is a Yoshi that, when turned on, is a tagging device. Yoshi's back is a button that, when pressed, plays some music. It is used in playing tag, so, I guess it's kind of useless. I really wanted the inflatable hammer :(.
The story, if you are interested, is in the ANGST thread.
-
Can't you buy the toy instead of wasteing money. I'll buy a Big Mac or a Big 'n tasty. Or go to burger king and get a whopper. I do want those toys really bad. I want to collect them all.
-
You may be able to buy them on eBay.
-
What song does it play? Is it one of the familiar tunes from the games or is it a bunch of random notes. When I go to McDonalds, I should wear either my Donkey Kong (arcade), "You Know You're in The Mushroom Kingdom When..." or Yoshi 'T-shirt. :P
-
I got the Mario Tennis inflatable hammer today. It doesn't look that strong, but it hits the ball it comes with far sometimes.
-
The question on my last post, no need to answer cause I got two of those Yoshi tag toys today. (Went to MD's with my dad and a good friend of the family. The friend and I each got a happy meal.) I miss the times when fast food toys were the charger/wind-ups and posable figurines. Whenever I notice the dramatic change the fast food toys have gone through, I just feel old.
-
In case anyone missed it: http://www.happymeal.com/mario/
The commercial is under cool stuff.
-
I saw it on TV for the first time yesterday. Nice commercial. :)
-
I haven't had a Happy Meal since I was a kid...Now I rarely eat there, maybe once or twice a year at the most.
-
Sweet! I got the Yoshi that plays music today. If you slip him on your finger and pat someone on the back, it's even cooler.
-
I want that Yoshi toy that plays music, mainly as a cardholder for poker games. I went to McDonald's today but they didn't have one, and none of the other toys interested me very much.
If I can't find it at a McDonald's, maybe I'll try the White Mushroom House sub-forum.
-
The only one that looks like something I wouldn't be embarrassed to have is the little ball-Mario. The music playing Yoshi is pretty cool too. Why only Mario, Yoshi and DK toys though? I seriously think that wave of Super Mario Bros. 3 toys McDonald's did way back when are still the best Mario toys to come out of a kid's meal.
I guess what I'm saying is that I'd rather just have a line of high-quality action figures than Happy Meal toys.
-
Where's Wario, Luigi and the rest of the gang? Sadly, Mcdonalds is only concerned with fitness and health (Despite their food being loaded with atomic nukes for your heart) and Wario may be bad for their image. *insert sarcastic laugh here* What's funny is, I didn't actually eat the food when I got the toys.
-
The line of toys here is really disappointing. Where's Luigi, Bowser, Toad, and Peach? Mario wouldn't be what he his today w/out them.
-
They should have more toys. there is no Peach or Bowser. I'm going miss you Luigi. The commercial is kinda cool in how they pause at the end.
-
Eh, those toys are less than spectacular. Two are just a ball and a frisbee in disguise. Talk about un-originality. Plus, they only made toys for Mario, Yoshi and DK. No Luigi or Peach toys. More proof that Luigi doesn't get the respect he deserves =(.
McDonalds could've done better.
-
I agree, but you have to understand... McDonalds is going through a "get em' outside" phase where they want kids to get outside and burn off the calories that parents pay to have stuffed into them.
-
*groan* By the time this is all said and done, every kid in America will weigh 200 pounds and die at the age of 40. (Mabey I'm being harsh, but this is really what we've become; an inactive nation full of fatties who don't seem to care about fitness.)
I'm movin' to Ireland. See you there.
-
Hey, it's not that bad! Peoples' happiness is more important than the condition of their bodies.
-
I'm afraid that's not true. Obesity is part of postindustrial-ness, which in turn is part of declining economy and productiveness. Eht's off t'the land of me ancestors as well! (not really)
Through this, the happiness of the people is selfish and hazardous to the future. Allow me to explain in a bit more detail...
Imagine if you had no video games, no internet, and your family was poor. First thing you think would be "I'm so unhappy, right?" This power is what's driving other countries to gain on the US in terms of productivity and breakthroughs. Who are our role models? Sports players? Movie stars? While exports can come out of these trades, they don't benefit us in any other way.
Holy cow, I sound like Insane Steve. Incidentally, my father is named Steve. But he's 20 years older, so no worries.
-
Ah, so true. I really wish we were all more active. (Ireland is looking mighty friendly right now.) Still, moving because I live amongst people who are inactive is stupid. I know some really thin and healthy inactive people anyway.
-
Don't take my previous rant too seriously, though... On that particular day I was grumpy, had little voice, and was on a rant rampage. Actually, I think this was my last rant of the day, when I realized I sounded like Insane Steve. (whoops, almost typed inane steve-- not that it was intentional!)
-
Actually, I was calling myself stupid. I should have changed "you" to "I".
Sorry. XD.
-
This morning I asked my mom if we could go to Mcdonalds later, because I wanted a happy meal. I was half kidding, but she said that would be fine. So I got a McNugget Happy Meal with apple juice!
As for the toy, I got a plastic Yoshi sitting down with his mouth open wide above him. What you do is you put the plastic baseball in his mouth, slam down on the lever, and his tongue shoots out and hits the baseball up. It's really fun, I can't wait to see what else I can make fly up two feet.
I am left a little shaken though, knowing I just ate Mcdonalds for the first time in a long time.
-
I felt exactly the same way back in April, when I was FORCED to eat Mcdonalds in over a year.
-

Actually, I didn't take it seriously because there is no logical sequence whatsoever. You're gonna have to elaborate if I'm going to understand... Anyway, Option A is fat and happy. Option B is fit and miserable. Since "happiness" is the net measure of one's satisfaction with life--while body type may be a factor--only the final result matters. This simple proposal need not care about how many cars Ford loses to Toyota or how many low-labor jobs move to China.
-
Sad how we compete with foreign competitors, eh?
Anyways, after another meal at McDonald's (got the Choice, as I would still be hungry after a measley Mighty Kid's Meal), I was able to get that elusive Mario Power Tennis hammer & ball. Pretty cool, actually. And, if you can't hit the ball or anything, you can bonk someone in the head. *Mr.Melee hits everyone in the head with his Power Mallet*

I have yet to meet someone who was happy being fat.

I've got the Mario Tennis (inflatable)Mallet and Ball

Weird Al rules the universe.
-
...Can't believe no one's mentioned that the commercial is incredibly similar to the Live Super Mario Bros. performance video that's been floating around the web for some time. I mean, they have it all down to the pause at the end of the commercial.
-
The beatbox guy is great on the website ads.
-
Has anyone completed the challenges for each of the toys? I've tried the hammer's but I can only reach 5 without losing. Maybe next time I'll try it outdoors...

It's not, "Are you happy being fat?" It's simply, "Are you happy," asked of a fat person.
