Splash pages "Purple passion" - Last modified 02/27/1999 One of the early splash pages. I made a quick "TMK" logo with the Chlorinap font and a gradient flood fill. The "character select" sprites from Mario & Wario decorate the letters. "Seeing red" - Last modified 10/31/1999 Basically a red version of "Purple passion." Added Luigi sprite from M&W. "View askew" - Last modified 11/01/1999 One of Nintendo's Mario Party (1) wallpapers becomes the scene behind a naturally-slanted font. This probably influenced the other text. Also, the features becomes a bulleted list. "Super Star" - Last modified 12/29/1999 At my request, GryphonTen drew Mario for use on the splash page. "Irasshaimase" - Last modified 06/04/2000 This time I cropped GryphonTen's Mario artwork into a slanted Mushroom with a very faint outline. Box design around "The Mushroom Kingdom" inspired by the SMB title screen, of course. The "Foo" font is used for the "TMK" on the right, with "T·M·K" in Japanese to the side of the logo. "20th anniversary" - Born on 12/31/2000; current version last modified 01/06/2002 By far the longest-running splash page. It was originally made for Mario's 20th anniversary in 2001. The evolution: Beta 1 - Mario's first appearance and latest appearance (at that time) together in a Mario-style block. Beta 2 - I should add more games. Beta 3 - Release years. Final version - I finally decided to use sprites from Mario's first games from various systems. Upcoming games listed in the last frame. "who are you... voting for?" - 10/11/2004 through 11/13/2005 A parody of Nintendo's "who are you?" ad campaign. Waluigi and Wario heads on John Kerry and George W. Bush, respectively.
