What did you name the little guy? I'm curious.

I gave him the name HOSHI (in all caps like that). It's Japanese for star and rhymes with Yoshi. Aren't I creative?

Oh yeah, he was also orange.

I just named mine Yoshi because I couldn't think of anything else at the time.

First Game: Growley (Red)
Second Game: Charles (Green)
Third Game: Rascal (White)
Fourth Game: Deezer (Pink)

(Yes, I did name the fourth after Deezer. I was recording and sending PMTTYD Mp3s and WAV to Deezer, so it was the only name in mind at the time.)

Hoshi?  That's an awesome name.  I couldn't think of anything either, and I really wanted to keep playing the game (I loved the level I was on and wanted to see what happened next) so I looked at Yoshi and thought, "...he looks like a dude."  So, I named my Yoshi, Dude.  It was kinda funny hearing people call him "Little Dude" all the time.

Wow, nintendoexpert, you played it four times?  You must really like the game (and who can blame you?)  I'm helping my cousin play his game of Paper Mario 2, so this is my second time playing it.

Woah, that's what I named mine!  He was green; I didn't know there were more colors...

Blushi because it was blue with pink hair.  I wanted a black one, but saved before I knew how to get it.  Are Yoshis male, female, or other?

Well they all lay eggs, but perhaps only the females can have eggs that will develop into young. Then again, I could be wrong and Yoshis are hermaphrodites. For some reason, I think there are males and females. The Yoshi in PM2 seems to be a male.

"Growley" and "Rascal" are actually the names of two dogs in my family, both of whom have past away in the past year. And yes, I really do like this game enough to play again and again- I am more attached to it than I was with the first Paper Mario. But I do not know why PMTTYD got such low ratings...

Please show me where PM2 got low ratings since every review I've read for it were positive.

I had a blue yoshi, named Yoshi. I truly am original.

As a game that requires six friends, an HDTV, and skill, I can see why the majority of TMK is going to hate on it hard.

Wikipedia says it got low ratings and is one of the lowest grossing Mario games of all-time: it only sold 2 million copies.

Yeah, same with me.  I only saw good reveiws for Paper Mario 2 (which there should only be).

Yeah, I definantly think the yoshi is a guy because of the way he talks and his mowhawk thing, plus I would have to change his name to Dudette if he was a girl.

Mine was pink.  I called him "Yosh".

...and for what it's worth, the Yoshi on the Excess Express supposedly has a wife.
