I named my red yoshi Yosarian, after the protagonist in Joseph Heller's novel Catch 22. The name is actually supposed to have two S's, but I only gave the poor little guy one S.

It has to do with the remainder of the time on your GCN's clock when the minute part is divided by 20 when the egg hatches, if I remember reading something right.

Black and white Yoshies get only a 1 minute time frame each in the 20 minute rotation, green gets, I think, 6 minutes.

Once you have the egg, and when you're 11th on the chart, (Save) then go fight
the iron clefts. In the match, run away on turn 1.
Go back and see what colour your Yoshi is.
Reset and fight the iron clefts again and wait the amount of minutes
given(below) to change the colour.
Color you have:
Green - wait 6 minutes then run away to get a red Yoshi
Red - 3 mins to get blue
Blue - 2 mins to get orange
Orange - 4 mins to get pink
Pink - 3 mins to get black
Black - 1 min to get white
White - 1 min to get green

So Bird Person, basically, if you want an Orange Yoshi, you must have a Blue Yoshi and wait 2 minutes during the battle then run away.

I'm confused.
So I'd have to
1. Get a green one & reset
2. wait 6 mins & run to get red & reset
3. wait 3 mins & run to get blue & reset
4. wait 2 mins & run to get orange & save

and so I'd reset 3 times? (the blue one as in the one with curly hair? ugh.)
What's the orange Yoshi's hair like?

No. If you have a green one, add the time for all of them. Green + 6+3+2 =11 minutes= Orange.

All right! Now I've just now gotten past chapter 2. If I don't really like the orange guy, I'll check out the white one. If he's a no too, I'll take a black one.
Too bad their personalities don't differ by color... the curly haired blue guy just isn't meant to say "Man, it's STUPID cold out here!"

Never mind, there. I got an orange guy on my first try today. Now for a name...
Okay, I named him Pnut Bttr. Peanut Butter with no vowels. I was eating a peanut butter sandwich, so I just named him that. (My friend named his Wacky.) Well it does have the u, but whatever.
