Dr. Mario is back... again. Dr. Mario & Puzzle League joins Tetris & Dr. Mario and Nintendo Puzzle Collection (Japan only) to form a trilogy of compliation games containing Dr. Mario.

Just like in Nintendo Puzzle Collection, this version of Dr. Mario borrows Dr. Mario 64's graphical style. Unlike NPC, however, this version drops the Wario Land 3 characters and the drawn-out story from Vs. COM mode.

Puzzle League—previously released as Panel de Pon, Tetris Attack, and Pokémon Puzzle League—has no mascots this time around, finally giving us its fast-paced, combo-filled action without any fluff.

Besides the unlockable "Vert" mode (turn your GBA sideways), Dr. Mario & Puzzle League offers little new for fans of either game, but the portability and unadulterated gameplay should keep all you puzzle game addicts pill-plopping and panel-swapping until your thumbs bleed.
