Overview

The NES classic will soon be on Game Boy Color! It looks exactly like the NES version, except the bricks and backgrounds look more like the Japanese version of Super Mario Bros. 2. Because of the smaller screen dimensions of the GBC, the score/coins/time information on the top is shrunk down to one line.

I'm not sure about the title, as Nintendo.com still lists it as merely "Super Mario Bros." If it's not called Super Mario Bros. DX, it darn well should be! Here's all the new stuff they're adding:

• Three save slots
• A "challenge mode," where your task is to collect red coins and hidden objects
• An overhead map
• A "race mode," where you race a pace ghost to the flagpole
• A calendar and fortune teller (why?)

There is also going to be a "harder version" of SMBDX, but I'm not sure if it will be included with the game, or released as a separate cartridge (I hope not).
