Maybe not, but I've seen Evony mentioned on every site I go to that's remotely related to videogames. It's just like PETA. The ads are so "bad" that everyone is constantly discussing them. Well guess what.

Also, whilst watching The Simpsons on the comp ~~IN A COMPLETELY LEGAL MANNER I SWEAR~~, I came across an Evony ad when I paused.
I seriously think they've been stooping WAY too low for the ad campaign. I can seriously imagine some 45 year old loser clicking the ad all like YES YES FREEPO- aw, just some freakin' online game for nerds!

I played Evony for a while, I'm not ashamed to say. Pretty fun, but dreadfully boring once you get so far into it.

Fun fact: The actual game doesn't even feature any women aside from the player's avatar, if the player feels so inclined as to be depicted as one.

EDIT FOR CLARITY: The linked image features a logo saying "Civony", which is just Evony's old name.

The devolution was a bit more gradual than that, but props for piecing that together. In fact, somebody should make a comprehensive timeline of every Evony ad for comparative purposes.

A semi-complete, uh, list (Weegee pretty much covered it, though I thought----and I suppose it would make sense, but who knows--those last two would be in reverse order).

Yeah, as I understand it, it's just a sucky medival sim literally cobbled together from various other games in both style and substance.
