High-five!
I paid $60 for a local fix, but it took about a month.Really? Because one person said there Wii was only gone for a week and when it came back it was working just fine.
You could also buy it on an NES cart from a place like http://www.nesreproductions.com/You know, your link AMAZED me! I mean, there were games on there I have never seen for the real NES. That website had hacks originally for emulators like Mario Adventure and (possibly) there first homebrew game d-pad hero.
Or you could make such a cartridge yourself, if you know how.
Yeah, so I was playing GH5, the thing started taking forever to load, and then I just up and got a disc read error. Now, I can't get it to read any discs. The manual said something about just unplugging it for a while--disregarding the fact that I can't see how the AV cord would have anything to do with the disc being properly read, I always unplug my Wii in the interest of minute energy conservation, so I doubt that's part of the problem. Anyone else have something like this happen that can give me some help that doesn't involve online troubleshooting, robot hotlines, and jotting down error codes? You know, I had this same problem with Mario Kart Wii, and got the same effect, stopped reading every disc (including the gamecube ones). I tried looking on Yahoo Answers and that was no help. So I guess I'll just suck it up and pay $75 to get it fixed by Nintendo.
