I think xkcd is starting to lapse into self-parody.

I heard about that via The Spriters' Resource or such; pretty dang sweet, IMO.  Also, I need to learn to stop posting in the last three spots on a page.

So I was bored today, and I decided to try to TAS something in Super Mario Bros. Deluxe.  This was the result.

I would call that Jay-walking.

I'm getting weirded out by the fact that--upon second viewing--The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is superficially similar to Uncharted 2. Also, it's not a very good movie, but that's besides the point.

Feel free to use this observation in any theories you may have about JB being the Antichrist.

What the hell is a shawty, anyway? I've never figured that out.

It's an east-coast variation of this word.

A term originating in Atlanta that originally referred to a short person or child but has since grown to include any and all people, especially a girl that is attractive, mostly used as a term of endearment or form of address (i.e., "Wassup, shawty?" in lieu of "Wassup, dawg?"). Can be abbreviated "shawt" or "shawtdawg." (also from Urban Dictionary)

Anyway, it turns out someone beat me to that theory by over a month. Maybe when I have some time, I'll expand the theory by drawing parallels and... uh... perpendiculars? between the music video for One Time and the parable that Matthew 22:14 is the conclusion of.

Nintendo Training Video 1991

Notable things: Nintendo literally making fun of its customers and expressing heartache towards dumb people who want returns on items that they messed up or aren't broken, EEEEEPROM, the nerdy guy, and some of the Ren & Stimpy stock music.
Formerly quite reasonable.

Seeing the old Customer Service Mario icon everywhere gave me a brief case of the nostalgias. The next Mario platformer should definitely feature a bow-tie/screwdriver/briefcase power-up that grants him troubleshooting abilities.

Or that picture could at least be used for an "Options" icon or something.  I'm pretty sick of these generic menus we've been getting since roughly SM64DS.
