The White Mushroom House / Strange Mario Memrobelia

Hello all, apologies for this being my first post but my research led me here and i thought it may be worth me asking you lot first!
While at a local car boot sale I stumbled accross a pair of Super Mario brothers Roller Skates. We definately wouldnt miss out on an offer like that so we bought them in the hope we might find some info on the net about them. However I cant find any mention of them on any websites ?!
Does anyone have any idea about them ? They have the official european nintendo seal on the tongue and are dated 1993.
If anyone knows any further information on them I would be very greatfull!
