So, if I registered every Wii/DS game I own, I could conceivably get a cool Samus swimsuit calendar.  If one is ever available again.

Take a closer look. The calender includes various Nintendo characters, and this one is last years model anyway.

Also, I got my Mario trophy in the mail. I'm glad I held off from registering them last year.

Subjective concepts like "value" are just that. Subjective. So, peeps, stop defending every overpriced, super-short game that comes out, because not everyone should be expected to pay a lot for something they don't derive value from. Price, value, and length are all properties that are linked together, whether you like it or not.

Coming from the guy who has no problem selling off his games to GameStop after 1 playthrough.

You're just mad because Canada isn't important enough to matter for anything.

Hi, this is Adarsh from India and I am new to the forum and presenting a quote by Monroe Forester "Hope is always available to us. When we feel defeated, we need only take a deep breath and say, "Yes," and hope will reappear." Thanks

Stop making fun of me, Mexico will defeat Argentina in a big game one day.

Right guys? ;_;

Except that is their default names in the game as well but whatever.

I'm hoping that rumor of Gyms being gone is true as well. It's about time the main quest didn't consist of fighting the same 8 trainer archetypes to gain the use of an HM and a level cap.

No classic halfpoint/partner barrels, no hidden coins, and no classic villains.

Yet I'm still interested. I wonder why.

I recently restarted Emerald, and I noticed that Professor Birch can't identify the gender of his own child. No matter whether it's Ethan or Dawn, the professor only refers to his child as "my kid".

Herp.

Also, its the cycle of new Pokemon BM. The new designs are always a huge turn-off to fans, but they eventually grow on them.

Innovation has brought us the aforementioned SMS and more recently one of the worst controller designs I've ever seen.  Going with what works has brought us NSMBW, SMG2, and now a new DKC title.

It's amusing you say that when those games wouldn't exist if it wasn't for innovation. Perfected sequels are nice, but they're nowhere near as memorable as something new, even if it doesn't always work. I can remember far more moments in Mario Sunshine than I can in New Super Mario Bros.

Quote
Jungle Beat was as much of a DK game as Kirby's Epic Yarn is a Call of Duty game.

Hey, that analogy works. Both series are overrated and formulaic

Umm yeah basically.

I found Princess Debut and Gunstar Super Heroes at Rite-Aid, Geometry Wars and Metal Slug Anthology at Big Lots, and from what I've heard, 7-11 broke the street date for Super Street Fighter IV and Red Dead Redemption, though I've never seen them at mines. I did see Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon and the original Gears of War near the one by my old apartment though.

Where in Arceus' name are we supposed to buy games, then?

Are you serious?

When I can walk into a 7-11, a Big Lots, a Rite-Aid, a pawn shop, and even a small merchants tent and always find a rack of games, I find it incredibly hard for you to claim shopping at a non-GameStop location is too much hassle.

Also, Warp I never got your Princess Debut game you wanted :(

Where the hell were you people back when Jungle Beat shat on the franchise as a whole? Hypocrites...

The difference is, Jungle Beat was never claimed to be a DKC successor.

Not only that, but if you're not flipping your [dukar] over DK's appearances in the Mario sports games, the Mario vs Donkey Kong games, or the Barrel Blast spin-off that nearly reaches post-PS1 era Crash and Spyro quality, then you're being just as hypocritical as you claim CrossEyed is.

Also, David Wise didn't leave Rare until last October. By then, the project would've been too far along to include him as the main composer.

Sales and a chance to change up a formula that was in danger of getting stale.

Seriously, would the game be any better if it was simply the DS Kirby games on a home console?

Finally, true co-op gameplay.

The familiar aspects are all here, but I'm not too sure how to feel about the new enemies. They seem like Crash Bandicoot knock-offs, and the lack of Kremlings disturbs me. Still, lots of Jungle Beat influence mixed with Country gameplay pleases me so.
