I think he misinterpreted the fact that Miyamoto approved the first one.
I didn't realize Disney owned Hollywood Pictures either, but that explains why it was run on the Disney Channel a few years ago.
That was a joke.

Disney also owns Touchstone, Miramax, and Soap Net, and has governmental authority over three cities in Florida.

Their assets also include everything else in the world.
