Mario Chat / Who do They Remind you of?
« on: September 23, 2005, 05:10:31 PM »
Is it just me, or do some Mario characters really remind you of someone else?  Maybe someone famous, or just someone you happen to know.  Or, whoever.  Well, in this topic you can post who the Mario characters remind you of, or vice versa.  Example:

-Flurrie from Paper Mario 2 reminds me of Mrs. Jefforson from the old show The Jeffersons.  Not personality too much, more just how they compare in looks.

Mario Chat / Your Ideal Mario Game
« on: August 19, 2005, 10:16:00 PM »
As Mario fans, I'm sure we have all thought of what we would like to see in a Mario game.  This topic is for people to just discuss what would be awesome in a game for Mario (not having to star Mario).

It can be a sports game, platformer, RPG, whatever.  Post your ideas here.

This is my signature.  Aren''t I freakin'' creative?

Mario Chat / Favorite Side Character
« on: August 13, 2005, 07:42:13 PM »
Who is your favorite character besides the main character?  I mean, besides Mario, or Luigi, or any well-known characters.

My favorite side-characters would be Vivian, the Shadow Siren who turned good in Paper Mario 2, Kolorado, the treasure hunting koopa from Paper Mario, and Bobbery, the lonely sea-bomb from Paper Mario 2.  I guess All my favorite side characters are from the Paper MArio series.

Your favorite side character can be a character from the very first Mario game, to the very latest. Please explain why.

Fan Creations / The X-Nauts Strike Back
« on: July 13, 2005, 08:07:31 PM »
I have a few things to say before you start reading this.  Firstly, yes I am already writing the story Mario's Murder Mystery on the Excess Express, but since no one is really reading that one too much, and I ahve another idea for a story, I'm going to be writing two!  Yes, this obviously means not as much updates considering there will be two, and I'll try not to let one die out.  This story has a spoiler for those of you who have not beaten Paper Mario 2 and do not want to know what happens.  It is basically like a sequel to Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.  Here it is...

Prologue:  They’re Back ~ Last time on the awesome adventures of Mario:  You would think that Mario would have defeated Bowser and his minions, got the Princess, made like hokey and got the puck outta there, but last time he didn’t…no no…last time he did not.  In Mario’s last adventure the enemy was none other than the highly intellectual group of strange species, the X-Nauts.  The X-Nauts are a group of strange little men in hardly any physical condition for fighting.  But when they lack in bronze, they make up for in cool gadgetry (and brains, yes).  They wear hats and scarves to cover their faces (or some even just have really large facial hair) and have small goggle-like glasses peeking out from their scarves or mustaches.  On their clothing they wear the large sign of an ‘X’ no, not an ‘M’ or a ‘Z’. ‘X’!  Hence the term, X-Nauts.  These people live in hiding, and have only made their huge debut when they randomly attacked and tried to take over the world by awakening a demon!!!  They had asked for the help of Shadow Sirens, and with their help they were able to kidnap Peach, and bring her behind the Thousand-Year Door and awake the terrible shadow queen!!!  The demon then possessed Peach, who had a pure heart and was the only one who could….be…..possessed….yes.  Unfortunately, the ruler of the X-Nauts, Sir Grodus, thought that since he provided the victim for the Shadow Queen, she would obey him.  The Shadow Queen was angered by Sir Grodus’ attempt to command her, and destroyed the X-Naut ruler!  The Shadow Queen was now free to destroy whatever she pleased, and the world was now in peril!  Luckily, Mario charged in, and destroyed the shadow demon; bringing peace to the Earth once and forever more……Yes that was what he did, basically.  Anyways, the X-Nauts somehow survived (including Sir Grodus who had practically been taken apart) and decided to live a more peaceful life, away from danger and evil…OR DID THEY???  Well, yes, actually they did.  So nothing much was ever heard from the X-Nauts again…never ever again…nope…never.  These X-Nauts who had begun their peaceful life on Earth suddenly disappeared one day.  No one really cared though, considering…well, just considering no one really cared about the X-Nauts.  The X-Nauts were gone, and that’s all there was to it……

“Lord Crump, come to me……” said a dark, old voice.  A short, fat X-Naut entered the room.  He wore a purple uniform and wore a purple Vikings helmet atop his head.  His face was hidden behind a large, prickly red mustache.  He walked across the cold, metal room and towards a desk at the very end.  It was dark gray, and behind it he could see the back of a tall black chair.  Behind the chair was a huge glass window which was filled with water, sort of like an aquarium.  Black fish, with huge sharp teeth swam left and right in the aquarium, bighting at bubbles and fighting with each other.  On the desk was a black laptop computer, a remote control, and a few floppy disks.  Lord Crump gulped as he waited for his master’s reply.
“What is it Sir Grodus…sir?” he asked.
“Is it ready?” the voice demanded.
“....What-the…the pizza?  Because, no it still has twenty minu-“
“Pizza?  What?  No not the pizza!!!” the voice cried angrily.
“Then what?!?”  Lord Crump asked bluntly.
“My BODY YOU NINCOMPOO…..P!”  The black chair suddenly swirled around, revealing the head of former, great leader, Sir Grodus.  The blast from the Shadow Queen left only his head, the rest of his body had been destroyed.  His head was simply a large, round blue sphere that looked robotic (probably because it was), and a pair of goggle-like spectacles.
“…OH!  Your body, yes, yes, no.  It’s not ready yet,” Lord Crump said.
“Bah!” Sir Grodus said loudly, “If I had a hand I would smack you…hard!” the head of Sir Grodus said.  â€œThat stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, STUPID, STUPID, STUPID SHADOW QUEEN!!!  She was the one that made me what I am…It was her who made me nothing but a head…”  Lord Crump felt a tad awkward.  He looked down at his boots and said;
“But, Sir Grodus, you used to be fine with just being a head.”  Sir Grodus looked away.
“I know, my dear servant, I know…but I realized how much of a nothing I was on that day…that day we went to the movies…”
“You mean when we went to see Madagascar?” Lord Crump asked.
“Yes…that movie with those stupid animals…You see, I was hopping along to get some popcorn, when some person stepped on me!  I asked if she would apologize, and she just said that I was a creepy head, and didn’t disserve it!  I!  The greatest genius in the world did not disserve an apology!  It was then that I realized what I truly missed was technology.  What I truly missed was power.  What I truly missed was my body!  It was then I pulled the X-Nauts away from that movie, and ordered you all to build the ship we fly in as I speak…and I have a plan, Lord Crump…Oh, I have a plan...”  Lord Crump was drooling at the mouth as he examined a lady bug crawl across the floor.  â€œâ€¦â€¦LORD CRUMP!”
“WHA?  Oh, *clears throat* yes sir, plan plany plan, of course,” he said, sadly watching the little lady bug crawl away.
“I have a plan to get back at all those people in that world over there, AND FINALLY RULE OVER THEM!!!”
“Really?”
“Yes, okay.  See, look at that Lord Crump, you just ruined a perfectly good ‘evil laughing’ time…it was there, we could’ve grabbed it, but you missed it Lord Crump, way to go,” said Sir Grodus, his large cranium bouncing up and down, spinning the chair back around so that Sir Grodus could look at his little swimming pets.  He was angrier now than he had been when he had a body.
“Oh, well, sorry.  I have a feeling that in this particular story there will be plenty of room for evil laughing, sir,” Lord Crump said.
“Shut up.  Tell the X-Naut Scientists to hurry up on my new body!....And the pizza!”  Said Sir Grodus as his head slumped down in his chair (creepy, huh?)
“Yes sir.”  Lord Crump made the sign of an ‘X’ with his arms (the X-Naut signal) and began to leave.  â€œOh, yeah…by the way…I was wondering…when you eat, where does the food…you know…go???”
“Shut up and get the pizza, Crump.  After that I will tell you, and all the X-Nauts, my absolute genius plan!  The plan that will make the X-Naut clan the greatest clan in the world...a plan that shall not fail to put us X-Nauts on the top...Now go get that pizza!”
“Yes sir!”
To be continued...

Mario Chat / If You Could Be Anyone in the Mushroom Kingdom...
« on: July 13, 2005, 03:58:14 PM »
If you could be anyone in the Mushroom Kingdom, who would you be?  Mario and get all the glory?  Luigi and have your moments (but not be as famous as Mario)?  Peach and relax in royalty?  Wario and be greedy and rich?  Bowser and destroy stuff?  Toad and run around helping people?  Who?  (Those are not the only options, just suggestions^)

Me?  Not really sure.  Probably Princess Peach!!!<3 (Just kidding).  Maybe Luigi and get to have cool adventures, but not be as huge and popular as Mario.

Mario Chat / The Different Species in PM2
« on: July 10, 2005, 10:57:26 PM »
Those of you who were lucky enough to play the fabulous game, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, must have noticed all the strange new species in the game.  It added so much variety to the game (which is one reason I really liked it).  Here you can discuss these species and where they might have originated from, or if they are related to any of the other Mario species.  I can name a ton of new species right now, but I'll just start off with one.  Doopliss.  Freak in a sheet, ghost, strange wizard?  I'm not sure.  Could Doopliss be related to Boos considering he lives with them?  He was a very strange character...

« on: June 29, 2005, 10:44:10 PM »
In this forum, you can talk about your predictions for the next Harry Potter book coming out soon!  You know, who the next Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher will be, what will happen with Lord Voldemort, and what sort of things he might get himself into.  Since predicting this could be quite hard to do (unless you think of ideas from the title, The Half-Blood Prince), you can also talk about your opinions on the last 5 books.  What was good about them, what was bad, etc. etc.

Fan Creations / Mario's Murder Mystery on the Excess Express
« on: June 14, 2005, 10:11:39 PM »
Here it is.  My forth story.  This is obviously a murder mystery story.  Please enjoy.....

Prolouge: The Murder of Professor Frankly ~ It was a dark, cloudy night.  The stars were covered by thick clouds, and only the full moon shone in the sky.  Here, an old Goomba sat on a bench in the run-down town of Rougeport, waiting for the Excess Express to arive at the station.  Frankly was an old professor who spent his time studying history, and ancient mysteries.  He was to arive at the very fancy town of Poshley Heights to meet with his old friend Pennington, the crime solving penguin.  Soon Professor Frankly heard the clickitee clack of the train on the tracks.  The Excess Express roled into the station, and Professor Frankly made his way off the bench.
"Good evening sir," the kind conductor Toad at the door of the train said, "Do you plan to be riding the Excess Express tonight, sir?"  Professor Frankly nodded as he took out his train ticket from the pocket of his trench coat and showed the conductor.  He examined his ticket and handed it back to Frankly.  "Very good sir.  You are located in room four.  Please be careful boarding," the Toad said as he opened the sliding door into the marvelous Excess Express.
"Thank you," Professor Frankly said as he boarded.  The old professor walked throughout the train, strangely feeling as if he was being watched.  He quickly shook it off and found his way through the train until he found room #4.  Professor Frankly quickly opened the sliding door into his small room.  Frankly suddenly felt cold, and scared.  This was quite strange.  He had ridden this train before, and found it comfortable and homey.  Now it seemed haunting and cold.  'Hmmm,' he thought to himself, 'Maybe it's just the room.  I was in #7 last time and it felt fine.  There is most likely just a draft coming in'.  Professor Frankly sat down on the bench located at the right of the fancy room.  He looked around.  The wallpaper was red with small gold designs in it.  The carpeting was a comforting red, along with the bench.  The was a bunkbed to the left of the room, and a desk next to the beds where a small lamp rested.  After a few minutes he heard the conductor yell,
"ALL ABOARD!!!" and a few seconds later the train lurched forward.  The engine started and the train grew faster and faster.  Professor Frankly looked out the window, watching the trees quickly pass by.  The professor suddenly began growing very tired.  His eyelids became very heavy, and he couldn't resist it.  He closed his eyes and fell asleep on the bench to the sway of the train and the delisious smell of something being cooked in the nearby kitchen.  That night, he had his final dream.  It was of his family and friends, and gave him a warm feeling in his heart.  It was perhaps the greatest dream he had ever had.  Remembering good times with family, and amazing experiences with friends.  Suddenly his dream came to an end.  He slowly opened his eyes.  Everything was blurry, but he saw a faint blue image in front of him.  He opened his eyes, and to his horor found a ghost watching him.  Professor Frankly was too shocked to scream.
"Geeet ooout," the ghost said.  Professor Frankly stared at the ghost in amazment.  Suddenly, the ghost disappeared, just like that.  Professor Frankly looked around the room.  He rubbed his eyes.  Was his mind playing tricks on him?  Did he really just see the ghost of a Toad?  It had told him to get out, but Professor Frankly didn't think of it as a serious matter.  He did feel very spooked though, and decided he would go to ask the conductor for an extra blanket.  He stood up and walked to the door.  Before he had the chance to open it, the door quickly slid open.  Frankly gasped.

"No ma'am, I'm sorry, we do not give any of our guests extra blankets," the Toad conductor said to Bow, the pampered boo.
"Are you sure?" she asked, "'Cause I really could use an extra cover for tonight.  Please?  Just for me?"  The conductor loosened his colar.
"I'm sorry-"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"  Bow gasped.
"What was that?"  The conductor rushed through the halls of the Excess Express, looking for the source of the horrid scream.  Finally, he found the door of room four open.  He rushed to the door and looked into the room.  He gasped.  There was Professor Frankly, lying on the floor, dead.

Mario Chat / Paper Mario 2 (The Pondering)
« on: June 09, 2005, 08:30:51 PM »
This is a topic to talk about one of my favorite Mario games and yours, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.  This game made me sad to beat it.  What was your favorite level?  FAvorite charactor?  So on so forth.  My favorite chapter was most likely the one in which Mario is on the Excess Espress.  Favorite character you ask?  Admiral Bobbery and the yoshi.
But enough about me, what about you?

Some people might think this idea is stupid, but I love to read, and I thought I'd make this topic for people who also do.  Here you can talk about books, debate on what's good or not, and make suggestions.  (i just know someone is gonna say this topic sucks, but heck! I'm postin' it anyways!)

If Toad is a mushroom and a mushroom is a fungus and a fungus is a decomposer, can we say that Toad is a decomposer?

Fan Creations / The Mushroom Kingdom's Annual Ball
« on: April 25, 2005, 05:04:45 PM »
Chapter 1: A Week From Excitement ~ Princess Peach stared out her window on a bright, sunny morning.  The birds were chirpping, the fish were swimming, and everything was doing what it was supposed to be doing.  Exactly what the princess didn't want.  She sighed of boredom.  'Where is Bowser lately?' she thought to herself, 'Shouldn't he be kidnapping me or something?  I'm SOOOOO freaking bored!'  Just then, she glanced over at the calendar to have a rush of excitment go threw her body.  Mushroom Kingdom's Annual Ball was in one week from now!  Princess Peach gasped in excitment.
"The BAAAAALL!" she cried out in joy.  She thought of the wonderful music, the beautiful scenery, and of coarse, slow dancing with Mario, "Oh goodie!" she said, "I wonder when he'll call..."
"Princess?  Are you talking to yourself?" Toadsworth asked as he entered her room.
"Um...no," Peach said quickly, "Shut up."
"Alright," Toadsworth said as he began to leave.
"Wait!" she cried, "Do you know what is coming in one week from now?"
"Why, yes princess, its Mushroom Kingdom's Annual Ball!  You and Master Mario always do make a lovely couple."
"Thank you," Peach replied, blushing, "This year, we're going to BEAT Bou and King Boo in the dance-off, once and for all!"  Every year the Mushroom Kingdom had a dance-off to see who could dance the longest.  King Boo and his dance partner Bou ALWAYS won, since they were very skillful at ballroom dancing. and had no legs so they never grew tired.
"Whoa!  Wouldn't that be a change in tradition!  But don't get too excited, I hear the Boos have been practicing.  Oh, and princess," Toadsworth said as he was about to leave, "did Master Mario ask you to the Ball yet?"
"Why...no," she replied, "no he hasn't."
"Really?...hmm.  Well, alright, he probably will soon!" he said as he left.  Peach nodded.  Usually, Mario would ask Peach three weeks before the Ball, so they could practice dancing for the ball and get moves that would make everyone be in 'awe'.  Where was he?...
There was now only 4 days left until the great Ball!  Decorations were being set up and music was being practiced by the famous Toad Band & Orchestra.  Toadsworth was their conducting and would be the spokestoad for the Ball.  Peach would obviously be the great honored hostess.  After this long waiting for Mario, she had had enough!
"I have had enough!" she cried, "I'll call him myself!"  She marched over to the phone and dialed his number.  The phone began to ring.
Mario: "Hello, Mario Bros. Residence, MArio speaking."
Peach: Hello Mario, it's me...Peach."
Mario: "Peach!...oh no...hi!"
Peach: "Hi...Mario, is there something you want to ask me?"
Mario: "Um, yeah...what do you want?"
Peach: "The Mushroom Kingdom's Annual Ball is coming up.  Aren't you going to take me like you do every year?"
Mario: "Well-I-She-You...*sigh*...Peach, I can't lie to you.  I'm tired of losing to the Boos, and no offense personally, but...with you I always lose, and...Peach, I already asked someone else."
Peach: "...."
Mario: "I'm really sor-"
Peach: "Who?"
Mario: "What?"
Peach*harshly*: "Who did you ask?"
Mario: "Oh, no one important...Princess Daisy."
Peach: "WHAT?!?!  HER!?!  Mario Robert Mario how COULD you?"
Mario: "Well, I-"
Peach: "Get Luigi on the phone."
Mario: "But I-"
Peach: "NOW!!!"  Peach tapped her foot impatiently as Mario fumbled with the phone.  She heard Luigi's surprised voice in the background as he picked up the phone.
Luigi: "...hello?"
Peach: "Hey Hun!<3!"
Luigi: "...um..hi?"
Peach: "Luigi, would you, being the tall hunk you are, like to take me to the Ball?"
Luigi: "Wow Peach!  That's nice of you!"
Peach: "GREAT!  You can pick me up at-"
Luigi: "But I already have a date."
Peach: "......pardon?"
Luigi: "I'm going to the ball with a hott Pianta chick.  I'm sorry."
Peach: "No you're not." she said as she slammed down the phone and began to cry.  What will she do?

Fan Creations / Mario and the golden mushroom
« on: April 24, 2005, 11:56:22 AM »
Here is a story about Mario and a golden mushroom (obviously) so sit back, read it, and enjoy...the...ride?  Ok...

Prolouge:A Golden Secret~A long time ago, before MArio was even born, there was a golden mushroom.  This was the great mushroom that was worth all the mushrooms in the world.  The peaceful shy-guy monks of the mountain were told to keep this great shroom safe and out of harm.  They hid it in a huge underground temple that was located in Noki Bay.  They told this old Noki guy to make sure its safe, and to never EVER tell ANYONE about it.  The old grandpa (the Noki with the fishing poll in SMS) agreed to do this.  So the shy-guy monks of the mountain trusted him with the golden mushroom, and left back to their peaceful home.  This is where our story begins, Mario is in Gelato Beach, having a heck of a time, when he finds something pretty dang interesting...

May the story continue!
