I would hope that eventually it'll be weighted more toward top posts, though every time I've looked in the communities no posts even had any Yeahs. (it would also be nice if there was a way to Yeah and report posts from within the game)

Actually, the best solution might be for Nintendo to pay BP to just draw posts full time.

It does annoy me a bit that they're charging $2 extra for it when it's literally just the localized rom that they had already completed over 20 years ago with a pretty barebones digital manual. When they did it for Earthbound, I figured maybe they needed to license the possibly copyright-infringing songs, but at this point I think it's just that they know Mother fans will pay it.

As announced by Itoi himself right before the Nintendo World Championships, Mother 1 is available on the Wii U Virtual Console (not the 3DS one for some reason?) right now for $7.

While it has a new official name now, so far it doesn't look like anything was changed from the rom that's out there (not even the title screen). Still has the run button and everything.

it's rated 3 in Europe, but it's T in Eagleland.

(also, the Onett Times community ("Your official source for the latest EarthBound news and information") still just has that one intro post from two years ago, which makes one wonder what the point of having that community ever was)

Yeah, when characters always look exactly the same from game to game, there's no real art direction for individual games. Everything kinda just looks like New Super Mario Bros. Less Mario & Sonic Olympicses, more Mario Strikerses.

(One reason I don't like the idea of "Smash Kart" is that Mario Kart has been around for so long that they're almost forced to come up with their own original ideas for locations to fill out an entire set of courses, whereas if it was just a crossover kart racing game from the beginning, there'd just be a couple of generic Mario courses with a couple of nods to recent games. Smash Kart would never have places like Neo Bowser City, Wild Woods, or Super Bell Subway.)
