General Chat / Re: Cliques: Which are you In?
« on: November 24, 2005, 08:46:50 PM »
Cliques don't, and never have, existed in my town.  For example, in High School I worked hard, I got good grades, and at the same time I played all kinds of different sports, I joined the band, I joined drama, and I always got along with people.  I have a lot of friends, and we always hang out, do fun stuff, and I could say I'm popular because when I was in school I talked to just about everybody, except some of the younger ones who I classified as dumb.  I've never done drugs or anything like that to fit in, in fact doing drugs makes you more of a loser.  I drink occasionally at parties to celebrate events with my friends, and we usually have a time and a half.  I have lots of memories from my high school career.  I'm still living here, and now I'm a teacher's assistant in a Grade 1 class where the kids all love and respect me, and I get along really well with the staff and parents alike.

So I:
Have a lot of friends
Play sports
Work hard and get good marks
Played music in band
Was in drama
Teach kids

So I guess I'm not classified as any cliques, and I know they exist in other towns and it's kind of sad because I see movies about them and it shows how people can be dinks for no reason.  I'm so glad I live in a small town where we get along, and no one is made fun of for what they like.

Game Help / Re: NES Game

I own a game genie, and it's pretty simple.  You connect the game to the game genie and put it in the NES, making sure to push it in very far.  You'll probably end up knocking off that silver bar if you still have one.  Anyway, when you turn it on you get three lines for codes, meaning you can insert up to three codes.  Now I have 4 code books with codes such as infinite lives, start on world 8, invincible, always tanooki, etc.  Now it might not come with code books, so you can visit (I think it's still a website) and it has codes for all the game genie games.

Wow, none of my games, NES, SNES, N64, NGC, GB, GBC, or GBA ever got corrupted and stopped working.  A few of the NES ones don't work as well as I'd prefer, but none of my games have ever stopped working altogether, and some of them are older than me!

Well considering the revolution they used to have with their platformers on other systems, and considering that SMS was GameCube's ONLY one, and it really wasn't all that great, I'd say no they're not trying as hard anymore.

"I think that Mario Party 5 is better than SM64, SMB3, and SMW combined."

Worst Mario Party ever, by far.

As for Mario Party Advance, that one was actually kinda fun.

"Forget that noise; Aarom, you make way too many topics."

I'm sick of this noise.  You're probably posting way more than Aarom is by just replying to his topics and telling him he's making too many.

I like Aarom, he's got a creative mind, and I always enjoy reading his topics.  Who cares if he makes too many, it's not like you're contributing well by complaining.

I always like coming here and having new topics to read, instead of the same old stuff with 1000+ replies.

If I had some good ideas, I'm sure I'd post a lot too, but I don't so I'll leave that to Aarom.

Hail Aarom!

I definately don't "hate" new school.  In fact I do enjoy a portion of it, but I must admit that it just isn't what I used to be.  They used to deliver so much more for so much less, and the games were catchier and more re-playable back then.  Now it seems like they're not even trying anymore.  I mean they don't have time for one more platform Mario game, yet they can come out with Mario Party's 4-7, baseball, tennis, golf, etc.

I agree with Glorb 100%.

I have absolutely no faith in the next generation of systems, because the current generation wasn't that good at all.  Even though I hate PS2 and XBOX, I can't say that I really found a lot of GameCube games that I enjoyed.

The new systems look fancy, are expensive, but I doubt they will deliver anything magical or original that is really eye-catching.  I predict a lot more spin-offs and crappy sequels.

I have no intentions of buying a revolution, not because I don't like Nintendo, but because I doubt that it will be an outstanding system with a lot of good games.  NES and SNES took that cake, and they haven't been able to live up to those two magical consoles.

Both DKC and DKC2 are instant classics, but I must admit that DK and DKJ are even classicer. (lol)  Both franchises have their ups and downs in the DK world.  I don't know which one I like better.
