http://www.brawlinthefamily.com/ This is one of the best webcomics out there. Go there and check it out.

I recently got banned from the forums. Can someone go and ask why marioguy was banned? I didn't even do anything wrong. I think one of the admins are out to get me.

I've had it bookmarked for quite some time.  Actually, BitF strips have been posted here on the FF occasionally.  I love the Waluijafar strip.

This wouldn't be the first time an admin was out to get me. There was this guy named Mr. Reaper from the Yoshi Forum Network. He used to edit my posts to make them sound stupid. Those type of people shouldn't be allowed to moderate.

The finale to "Zombie Attack" he posted today (IMO) at first, went as I supposed it would, but the ending was totally unexpected.  I love it when TB messes with what you think to be true about the characters that way.

Let's rephrase that for the sake of piqueing the interest of fellow readers. Please read the following in the voice of Sean Connery:

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to ascertain the motive(s) behind the forcible eviction of "marioguy" from one "brawlinthefamily.com forums" by any means necessary. Violence can and must be used, should the need arise. Scan the microchip we've implanted in your upper left thigh for further instructions.

This message shall explode in ten seconds.

Mr. Reaper was an awesome guy from what I remember. Your posts were edited because you were trolling as usual.
As a game that requires six friends, an HDTV, and skill, I can see why the majority of TMK is going to hate on it hard.

Mr Reaper is nothing more than a pathetic shell of a person who abuses his power because he thinks it's funny. He's not awesome in the least.

I'm sure we'd all care about your plight if you weren't such a child.

Besides, from what I remember, the majority of users at TYFN despised you and rightfully so.

I'm not talking about when I was first banned. I joined back a few months ago while the forum was dying. Most people didn't even know who I was, and I was getting well with the everyone. Then Mr. Reaper came around. "You can't be popular. I have to ban you to make myself look good." He's an ass.

Recently? More like last year.

And while I agree that you weren't being nearly as bad as were were back in the day, I saw your posts before Tom began changing your name. Sure you were being more subtle with your posts but you were still trolling with a lot of them. And not to mention trying to get us to be your personal army was a bit low.

He's a jerk for changing my name for no reason like that. If PFY wasn't dead, he'd certainly ban him for abusing his rights. I didn't even do anything wrong, but I got banned for Tom's grudge against me. If he can't tolerate me, he can go straight to hell. No one has to put up with his crap. People like him don't deserve to live, much less moderate a message board.

Back to business. Someone please private message TriforceBun and ask why I was him why marioguy was banned. He might not even know that I was banned.

The ban lasted only 7-days. It still was unfair, because there's this reputation option and one of the mods got mad when I pressed (-) on those who did the same to me.
Yay!

« Reply #21 on: November 08, 2009, 08:16:53 PM »
Personally, I don't think someone should be able to get away with down-repping someone just because they did the same, especially if they had a good reason for doing so. That's the main reason I try to not use the reputation system at all, and obviously I try to make intelligent, non-flaming posts, so as to not have a reason to be down-repped myself.

I'm inclined to agree, actually. Reputation is the kind of system that can only go wrong in the end due to users being good at forming personal armies (not sadib, obviously) or who make fake accounts; either way, they can go in and downrank a single person repeatedly over something stupid.

.
Again, that's why I never use it if I can avoid it, even if someone really deserves a negative reputation.  I'd sooner myself stay at 0 forever than risk having more negative than positive over "revenge reps".

You didn't read all the posts. I found out it was only a temporary ban, because one week passed. The reputation system was scrapped, because it caused trouble. Then they banned me again, because they think I'm a jerk. That's not a legitimate reason. I didn't even break any rules. I read a post that an admin decided to ban me, and before I could reply I was banned. They also banned my ip address, so clearing my cookies won't do anything.

191-0000029 (Waluigi Gets Soup) was probably my favorite of the bunch.  I'll bet that 194 (Falcon Goes on a Date) was inspired by it, now that I think about it.

Seconded on the funny. No actual humor, except for the "Take off your plumbers hat" panel, with Waluigi.
I do have to say, nice diversity for BitF, but I hope this doesn't mean it's losing the good 'ole fashioned simplicity that makes it so interesting.

TEM and coolkid are dead wrong. It is funny and smart. Every single line has visual and lyrical gags referencing the games, and doing it well. The song is also amazingly professional for being done by some webcomic guy and his family. My only critique is that I wish the singer played it a bit more straight. He slips a little too far into the goofy a zone a couple of times. But both the first and second times I read/listened to it, I got that weird tingly feeling that means "this is amazingly good" and that's the highest praise I can give something.

And: a ReDead doing taxes!

Well, "OBJECTION!" and "Can't let you do that" do express similar sentiments.

Also, I rather thought the Space Pirates would have made better (if less recognizable) minions for the Metroid series than the actual Metroids, since they're actually minions of the main villain(s), not just genetically engineered predators that frequently find their way into the wrong hands.
