Pretty soon, some people out there will launch the non-profit company PETAB, which stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Alien Bacteria.

I wonder if this bacteria will eventually evolve into civilized life, like our planet did so many years ago.

Microbial life on other planets doesn't really interest me. Though, that's most likely how life started on this planet, I'd rather hear news of an advanced (non-hostile) race. :/
