I was really thrilled when I first hear the news. Yippy! I really hope that we see another Mario RPG, but I wouldn't expect it.

I'm surprised to see that this topic isn't the center of discussion. What the heck do we talk about on this board?

Well, I wouldn't expect Sega to even consider trying to wedge itself into the already crowded console competetion. It would be nothing but a waste of money on their part. They are much better off as third-party developers and publishers. I mean, I guess it's too bad that we'll not see a Dreamcast 2. Then again, it's pretty nice that I don't have to be tempted to buy another console to play Sonic games.

Oh, and I agree with your predictions for Nintendo. A lot of time will have to pass and lots of things have to change before we have to worry about Nintendo dropping out of the console race. The GameCube has met all of Nintendo's sales projections and even exceeded them in some areas. And, of course, the GBA is monsterously popular and will continue funnel funds into Nintendo.

People seem to forget at times that Nintendo is no David among Goliaths. Sony and Microsoft may be big, but their video game divisions are easly rivaled in size by Nintendo. Nintendo is THE video game giant, make no mistake.

Boo, the manual and the ending of the game give conflicting names for what we now know is Birdo. We can be rather sure of this because in all other games her name is clearly Birdo.

Anyway, about Yoshi, he is not a homo***ual. In fact, we can't even be sure he is ***ual at all. As far as we know, all yoshies can lay eggs..without mating. Besides that, just because Yoshi is friendly and cute doesn't mean he is a homo***ual. Geez. He's just a big, dumb, cute, super-happy dinosaur.

And, so, of course, it is an April Fools joke. Note the date at the bottom of the 'unlocking' screen shot. See? April First. April first HASN'T HAPPENED YET. That's a dead give away that it is just a joke. Anyone that still believes it must be stupid.

My theory is that Wario never knew Mario personally. Wario only knew Mario due to Mario's fame. Being insane as he is, Wario became obsessed with Mario and decided to become his own demented, perverse version of Mario.

Mario cannot shoot fire at will without any sort of magical enhancment (which is rather easy to come by if you live in the Mushroom Kingdom). The only special attack that Mario can do without magical additions is jump. He is only human, afterall.

Well, that is a different way to look at it, but I disagree.

You see, they call Bowser "Koopa" in Japan. And so, Giga Koopa becomes Giga Bowser. Giga Bowser is just Bowser...after a healthy dose of some magikoopa magic.

I guess much like Mario's "Boing!" jumping sound, Yoshi's "vee-voh" sound is just a sound effect. Once it was possible, Mario said "Whoo!" and "Yipee!" when jumping instead of "Boing". We have yet to see (or hear) Mario ride Yoshi on a console capable of having Yoshi say something instead of "vee-voh".

So Dragons take a long time to mature, but turtles (and therefore Koopas, I suppose) mature quickly. Exactly how this balances out in a Koopa/Dragon hybrid is up for grabs.

Well, the Mario bros are rather short. Exactly what their height is is unknown. They could be not-so-short and everything in the Mushroom World could be on a larger scale.

As for the Wario Bros not is SSBM, I am also unhappy that they were not selectable characters. Oh well.

Because I do buy into the whole Dragon/Koopa theory, I agree with what Frostbite said. Part of that theory is that Bowser's father is dead, slain by "The Mushroom Knight".
