( Not to burst your bubble, but I've noticed that stories like these where each person controls a character simply never work. It's too hard to work it out like that. It is best do to it in such a format that each author just picks up where the last one left off, and each author has complete control (within the boundries of a few rules). )

( Gimme a break. All that has happened is that Mario is headed for Peach's Castle and Parakarry has delivered a letter to Luigi from a princess. I left the contents of the letter open, as I did which princess it is from. It's not that hard to follow or reply to, geez. Just make something up for the contents for from which princess it is from. )

I'm with Frostbite on this one. Mario saw the light of day first.

Furthermore, Mario has the more dominant personality and Luigi has definitely filled the role of "little brother" to Mario.

That is a compelling theory, Winx. But, as interesting as it would be, there isn't anything I can think of that would point to that as the truth.

Although...it would be neat if it turned out that King Bowser was somehow Peach's father (don't ask, it's magic) and Peach stole his own kingdom from him. She has the ability to turn stones into subjects (mushroom people) and with the help of the mushroom people, she overthrew Bowser and the occupants of the kingdom. The Koopas, still loyal to Bowser, fight for the rightful restoration of Bowser's rein. Bowser casts spells that return the mushroom people to stone form, but his daughter as the power to turn the right back. He *would* kill her, but he loves her, as she is his daughter.

...Okay, well, I know that's completely outlandish. Entertaining thought, though, right? *sheepishly backs away*

About the "Peach's Problems" fanfic, let me give you my encouragement. You aren't being specific about what it will contain, but if it's Mario and it's funny, and it's rated R, it sounds great. ;)

Mario AND Luigi deserve to co-star again. I want both of them in ONE game. Two player co-op would be great, too. I doubt it will ever happen, though.

In my honest opinion, you couldn't go wrong by buying either a Gamecube or a PS2. It is really just a matter of taste.

If you prefer Nintendo games (Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, Pokemon, Pikmin, SmashBros, etc), RARE games (DonkeyKong, Star Fox, Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark, etc) and the Resident Evil series, then get the Gamecube.

If you like Squaresoft games, Twisted Metal games, RPG's in general, Metal Gear and realistic racing games, then get the PS2.

The Xbox...well, I haven't seen any *real* reason to buy it yet (and don't give me any crap about what Microsoft has planned for it. I don't believe it until I see it. Microsoft has yet to prove itself to me.).

Well, Frostbite, your explaination sounds nice, but the only problem with it is that it has too many assumptions in it. We don't know Bowser had a brother. Keeping the story simple is the best way to make it probable, or at least credible.

I don't think Dark Land is of any real significance to the Koopa. I don't think they consider that place a home as much they do a hideout. Then again, for all we can tell, the Koopa are nomadic, which would mean that Dark Land would be just as much "home" as anywhere else.

Place: Luigi's Mansion

"...Oh no! It's Parakarry! I hate that lowsy koopa" thought Luigi.

Parakarry, wearing a rainsuit and doing his best to keep his letters dry, gave Luigi a beaky smile. "Hiya, Luigi! I've gotta letter for you." And he handed a pink envelope to Luigi, dripping some water onto it.

Luigi sighed and took the letter. "Pheh. At least he's just here to deliver a letter."

He thought too soon. Parakarry spoke up "Hey, Luigi, would you mind if I stepped inside for a while. It's mighty cold and wet out here. Not for long, just let me dry my feathers, huh?"

Luigi groaned inwardly and opened the door wide and stepped out of the way to allow the wet flying turtle into his new home. "Yeah, sure, come in.." His voice didn't betray him, he sounded as if he didn't completely hate Parakarry's guts.

"Hey, thanks!" Parakarry fluttered right in, dripping water and flinging mud all over Luigi's nice white carpet.

Luigi winced, closed the door and lead Parakarry to his large living room with a roaring fireplace. As the walked, he turned his attention to the pink envelope. Hmm...it smelled perfumed. He tried to read who it came from, but the ink was smudged. It read "Princess...(smudgy lettering due to the clumsy winged delivery koopa)".

They sat down in the arm chairs that stood a few feet infront of the fire place and Parakarry looked over at Luigi curiously. "Say, who's that pretty pink thing from? Eh?"

Luigi looked over at the Ex-paratroopa who sat, getting his expensive airchair wet. "Well, I don't know. Let me open it, will you?" Geez. Koopas are so rude, even when they are on our side. With this thought, he opened the letter and instantly his thoughts turned to other matters. The letter read:

"Dear Luigi,...

You can imagine anything you want, but I treat video games stories much like one would novels. Do Daneel from Issac Asimov's novels and Othello from Shakespeare's play have drinks together? No, of course not.

Actually, on this subject, I sorta agree with Frostbite. Not on the exact ages of the Koopa kids, no, but on the simple fact that they are, in effect, adults. Koopas don't take very long to mature, so they could be full grown at this point, even if they are just 10 years old. Why are they so much smaller than Bowser, then? Again, the Mario Comic explaination of Bowser's bloodline helps us out. The Koopalings are only 1/4 dragon. They are bigger than your usual koopa, but smaller than Bowser, who is 1/2 dragon. I'm sure that this isn't what Frostbite had in mind, but I'm not going to flame or bash him for it. Some of you people need to relax. Let Frostbite say what he thinks. His theories are no worse than anyone elses.

I think you are right, Winx. Of course, the Koopa do have an original homeland, but for so very long, they have been nomadic. In each game, they set up camp in a new place. Be it in the middle of the Mushroom Kingdom, in the firey depths of Dark Land or the caves of Dinosaur Land. Each time, a new headquarters. All they are known for (among the good guys) is their black magic and the trouble they cause everywhere they go.

But, if I had to venture a guess, I'd say that they are originally from Dinosaur Land. Koopas could pass for "Dinosaurs" (of course, there aren't any *real* dinosaurs in the Mushroom World, just large reptilian monsters. Reptilian monster? Sounds like a koopa to me). Dinosaur Land seems to have the sort of environment koopas like. Lots of islands, beaches, and dark caves. And, before SMW, Mario and company didn't know much about Dinosaur Land, aside from that fact that it would make a good vacation spot. The Koopa could have been hiding out there for years, undetected. And, as you pointed out, Bowser grew up there.

I think that Dark Land was just a temporary hide out for the Koopas. They used it because it would be hard for Mario to reach, with harsh climate and difficult terrain.

I guess we can just chalk all this up to lack of conclusion due to lack of information. We really don't know much about what King Bowser does in his free time. We don't know anything about his family, or much about his history. Most of the information we have is from the good guys' point of view. Oh well.

Say, here's another interesting koopa question: What is the koopa homeland? Where are they from? Dark Land? Dinosaur Land? Some other far-off, unheard of land?

What is the problem, Doomba? I'm just curious about just what it is that you are frustrated about. All I got from your post is that you want people who visit these boards to go "get laid". Are you frustrated with your *** life?

Well, jokes aside, I think that you are taking this whole thing entirely too seriously. Sure, there are lots of young kids that are sorta annoying, but so what? Just humor them, or ignore them. There are plenty of good things about this board. It's still enjoyable and you can still have a good discussion, as evidenced by the "Origin of the Koopalings" thread, for example.

Whatever the problem is, I hope you chill and take it easy. ;)
