Kay guys, I've got a story. A story that will make your story look like broken pieces of old computers.
So I babysit every weekday now (not forever, but that's why I've been gone in the mornings), and 6-year-old Alex loves my Nitnendo 64. He was playing Super Mario 64 earlier today, and came upon the courtyard.

"What's that?" This refers to the infamous "L is real" statue.
"It's a statue."
"Is it a grave?"
"I never thought of that..."
"Is it Luigi's grave? Is Luigi dead?"

Oh man, I was laughing so hard on the inside. L is dead.

Maybe SM64 takes place in the distant future. That's probably why Bowser is so huge and Peach's castle looks different than it did it any other game.

Except Peach's castle looks the same in every game past SM64. And the only game you ever saw it in before that was in Super Mario RPG.
That was a joke.

It didn't look the same in PM or M&L, and those were the games where the castle had the biggest role(aside from SM64).

It sure did look the same in PM, what are you talking about? Interior layout is different, but aside from that...
That was a joke.

Ummm... Did you guys... get it? I'm not saying I believe that's a grave at all. Who puts a grave in the courtyard? It was just a really hilarious quote from a 6-year-old. That was all. But the fact he asked "Does this statue mean Luigi is dead?" instead of the oh-so annyoing "Does this statue mean I can play as Luigi?" made my day.

Just imagine though, back in 1996.... everyone was all hyped up for the future of gaming. They thought TMK was safe, as Peach decided to get Mario to come to the castle after all those years since their last adventure. Luigi was unfortunatly dead and it was unclear as to what happened to Yoshi. As for Bowser, it was believed that he ran away, never to return, but before Mario arrived, he struck. King Koopa had taken over the castle of Princess Peach Toadstool and all those who lived on the inside mysteriously vanished. Now, it was up to Mario, the 'Optimus Prime' of the Nintendo universe, to go on one last Star-powered adventure. That was how it would've seemed back then.

But what happened after Yoshi jumped off the roof to crash into the ground eh?
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
