Their names are listed in the score charts of Mario Golf...so maybe they've found a new hobby...or maybe they're plotting an attack at this very moment.

I think thry are alive! It seems obis Nintendo ment to say its memories so now they are doing something else? Like being SEVERLY punished by Bowser its a possablity. Nintendo said several times they didnt want to hint or have a mario characater die even Bowser.
