While browsing the textures of the Delfino Airport 3D model, I found something interesting in the texture 01.
Does anyone recognize that dude between the male and the female Pianta? I'm not exactly sure but it somewhat resembles that one character from Animal Crossing whose name I don't know.
The real question is where is this texture piece in the game itself? If you own Super Mario Sunshine, go to the Delfino Airport and verify this.

That 'dude' is a thing. It is a gyroid, a rhythmic thing that goes in your house on AC.

This isn't neccessarily an AC reference, though. The gyroids are just modeled after a thing in Japanese culture - a type of statue called haniwa.

Dude. I think the Beanbean people in that mountain town were modeled after those statues

I uh... I don't see much of a similarity, frankly.

1. Gyroids are called Haniwa in the Japanese Animal Crossing.
2. I quite agree with Kojinka. They also bear a heavy resemblance to
Cactuars
.
That was a joke.

Oh! Now I remember! For some reason, I was remembering the people with more bean-shaped heads.

The Hoohoo people. Yeah. The way their arms are, they look quite similar to... that thing.
I do not recall ever seeing that on Delfino Airstrip, or any other part of SMSu, for that matter. Sorry.

N00b question: What program do you use to view the textures? How do you use it?

I don't think that would be a n00b question.

There are no n00b questions. Only questions asked by n00bs.

Heheheheh, good one. (I just wanted to note PaperLuigi's great joke; I haven't the slightest how you tear apart ROMs)
