Remember when you were a little kid, when you first played Super Mario Bros. on the NES? I remember the first time I played Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt on the NES...good times indeed. I have so many memories of playing the great games of Nintendo.

If you can remember a great time when you first played a particular Nintendo game or a Nintendo system, post it here.

People who like video games should also like Nintendo. People who don't like Nintendo obviously don't like video games.

I used to watch my friend play SNES games like DKC, SMW, and MMX.

Yeah...
Like, I remember that time I was explaining that time about my brother playing SMB2, and that thing about the "boyfriend box"...
That was a good recollection of good times.

Uhh... I remember the first final Bowser that I had ever beaten. It was in Super Mario World.

I think the first time I played a Mario game by myself is about 10 years ago, when I was four. I played Super Mario World upstairs in our playroom (now a guest room). I kept dying on Dinosaur Island 1, I kept jumping into the Bonzi Bill, and then when I finally got past that, and I died at the Rex. I was awful then, but when my Mom bought Super Mario All-Stars, I finally mastered Super Mario Bros. 2, because I loved to play it so much then, but the original NES game was missing.

I have replied to this type of topic before, but today I was flipping through some old photos for a school video and came across some of my old room with the NES and stacks of games.  There was even a photo of a game being played on my TV.  I think it was SMB3, but the pic was bad (refresh scan lines).

My greatest Nintendo memories come from playing the DKC series and Super Mario All-Stars on the SNES. Good times.

I have a lot of good VG memories, but unlike everyone else, mine are mostly recent (less than five years ago).
The absolute oldest memories of videogames I have are of a bunch of kids in a day care center, playing Zelda on an NES that someone had brought. They also had Mario and Duck hunt, but Zelda was the favorite.

Ooh, I've got a recent Nintendo memory:
I know this is old news to all of youse, but I was recently playing Super Mario World and had gotten to the special zone, when something for some reason caught my attention on the computer.
So my friend and I were busy looking at the computer when I suddenly here the old SMB overworld theme eminating from TV.
We both turned around in astonishment, remarking something like "That's super-awesome!"

...Yup.  That's it.  But it was quite new to me.

The first time I played a Nintendo game was at a "Sams Club" and it was "Super Mario World".
