I know it's confusing when it comes to stars. For the longest time, I didn't know what the stars did in NES Punch Out. And I sometimes thought Star Wars meant angry stars locked in an unguarded room over at the ol' funny farm.  ;D

Nintendo does make it confusing when it comes to stars. The Power Stars in SM64 look identical to the Starmen of SMB/SMW yet don't give you invincibility.

Don't feel bad about Star Wars. I once thought Star Wars and Star Trek were one in the same. When Star Wars was re-released into theaters in 1997 I remember asking my mom if we could see the Star Trek movie. That's when I got a long lecture about the difference between them.

I'm going to say no to the wireless controllers for GameCube here and also no to rechargeable for Wii remotes (or any AA device). I usually wait until there's a pack of 36-48 AA batteries on sale and just buy them instead. I've had miserable luck with rechargeables in everything that uses AAs.

My problem with the Wavebird is the extra bulk on it. I like the feel of the standard GameCube controller but the Wavebird just feels like one of those cheesy knockoff controllers despite being a Nintendo product.

I've never tried beating Bowyer without a froggie stick but I have beaten the game on level 21 with the ultra hammer as Mario's weapon.

I've played through SMRPG four times and have relegated Mallow to backup duty after getting Bowser each time. I also have sat Geno in favor of Peach each time since I like the Mario and Bowser attack and value Peach's magic, especially the group hug and come back.

I'm a new member here but definitely not a new visitor to the forums, the main site, or the world of Mario games. I've been visiting here since 2001 and finally caved and joined the forums.

Mario games have been my favorite since I got my first Nintendo many moons ago and while I don't have as much time to play as I used to since I'm in my fifth year of college (I'm going for more than one degree) and about to get a real job I still play whenever I need a break from work or studies.

As my name implies I'm a big Pittsburgh Penguins fan and am hoping for back to back Stanley Cups!!!
