Luigi's Mansion.  A nice, refreshing game that's on the borderline of platformer and RPG.  It also has a nice plot, and intersting twists...(Boolossus, Bowser suit, etc.)

I guess of all time, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (a lengthy reason is in the "fav Super Mario Advacne thread). Recently, it's Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door

No offence to the side-scrolling days of the NES/SNES, but I like SM64, LM, and SMS the most. Of those, I'm not sure. I think I might like SMS most. However, I do like Super Mario World and the original SMB.

ARGH, and how could I forget PM:TTYD?! That comes in a close second.

It's really hard to say. I guess it's because I go through times where I only care about one game, which is better from having a favorite you play all the time. Right now, I've been playing PMTTYD. A couple of weeks ago, I was obsessed with SSBM. Before that, I couldn't stop playing the Mario Karts. I think next is going to be SMS and SM64... It's seriously a lot better than playing just one while letting your other games sit in dust for months at a time.
