The wrong-color pants might be something in the foreground--like that desk the man is sitting at (it could be L-shaped).  And the dark strap might be a wrinkle in the shirt.

Do you fold your arms left hand or right hand under?

Hey, those are both pretty good.  This one's not really a glitch, but it's cool:  You can witness perpetual motion on the castle roof by doing a belly slide where the back wall meets the hill.  There are probably a lot of places to do this, actually.

The thought of grinding my teeth really gets me, though it used to be fun many years ago.

Here's one with maybe a 2% chance of being right.  Also, this guy reminded me of Chupperson's write-up, though there's a less chance of this one being right with the glass and all...

Anyway, this is kinda fun.  Thanks for not making the contest boring!  I was wondering, though:  Is there an actual picture out there, confirmed to have one of you guys in it?

Well, here are my two entries...

Perhaps this is a match.  The photograph was taken with a fish-eye lens.

Also, I think the fellow with very much hair next to the fellow with very little hair could be Chupperson.  See for yourself.

Uhh... Nevermind about that first one.  On second glance, I think my eyes were blinded by the beauty of a Mario Kart stylus.  Heheh.

This is extremely corny, but I hope you have fun with it.  Or maybe it will at least make you smile.

You might have to register a free account, so you probably want to know what it is.  Enjoy!

Mario Chat / Can you hold your breath longer than Mario?

Mario can hold his breath for 64 seconds before he dies a jolly death.  That can't be a coincidence.  Anyway, can you do it?  I can.  Whoo hoo!

Video Game Chat / The Best Sites for Each Video Game Series
« on: September 17, 2005, 05:10:29 PM »
Oftentimes, they're referred to as "shrines".  I'm talking about websites dedicated solely to the awesomeness of a single video game series.  Post 'em!  I've been around for a while, so I have a nice, concentrated list--but I'm definitely interested in new places.

Only post a site if you think it's got something unique to offer.

Anyway, here are what I've found to be the best sites for various games.  Please understand this isn't my life mission or anything, so there might be some that lack in quality to another well-known site:

Someone will probably cite the Metroid Database or Zelda Headquarters; those are also good.

I want to know what you all think of this:  I used to play Super Mario All-Stars or Super Mario World just about all the time.  This was around when they first came out.  When the N64 debuted, I sold all my SNES games.  Though this saddened me, Super Mario 64 made it easy.

In 2003, through the miracles of modern science (or just Funcoland), I got back most of the SNES games I used to have.  Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World was one of the first games I obtained, and I started playing immediately.  I did not stop until sort of recently--about a month ago.

I had a good reason to stop playing.  Even though I was still having fun with each of the five games in the compilation, I began to get worried.  I started to worry that the fun would run dry, and 2D Mario games would become bland forever.  So, I forced myself to take a break.  Does that make sense to you?

You should know that I played these games a lot.  I'm sort of a quality-over-quantity type of person, so when I find something I like, I really stick to it.  At the time I decided to stop, I was actually playing upside-down.  I didn't need to do this to have fun, but it made the games more challenging... So what do you think?  Does the old adage, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder," apply to Mario games as well?

From time to time I see a Mario sprite.  From time to time, I check to see where it's from.  Nine out of ten times, it's linked from here!

Can you spot the hot (link)?

Have you ever thought about doing something?

Mario Chat / Johnny Carson and Mario
« on: August 20, 2005, 04:08:17 PM »
I was telling someone about Mario's 20th birthday, and they happened to mention something interesting.  Apparently, Mario's creator was once the guest on the Late Show back in '85-ish.  Though, in conversation, I was able to deduce it was not Miyamoto, but just a case of faulty memory.

I was told Carson's guest came on to talk about Mario and that he actually looked a lot like Mario.  Could he have been Mario's namesake, Mr. Segali?  Does anyone have an idea?
