I am going to give Linux a try on my Pentium II, 128 MB RAM Gateway PC.  Does anyone have any experience with Linux?

That's OK. ; )  Linux is an operating system, just like MacOS, BeOS, DOS, and the dreaded MS Windows.  The only difference is that Linux is free.  I was just wondering if anyone had personal experience with Linux and could offer opinions before I began downloading two 650 MB ISOs for the OS.

Me again.  Is this the operating system with the penguin mascot?  If so, my friend Tom uses is and he says it works fine.

Yeah, that's the one.  Cool beans.  See, I want to try Linux (cause it's free, and I don't have any money ; )  Only problem is it is a 1.2 gig download (2 ISOs)... anyway, thanks for the info!
