I was pretty much talking only about males there, yes. But I did previously state that I don't look highly upon it for either gender. How it's done with females just sounds completely bizarre to me.

That's surprising.

I learned of it around the age of 13 or 14. I remember it being a part of the reproductive system unit in my Bio class in 9th grade, as well as it being touched on in Health class in 10th grade. I thought it would be taught in most schools...
No, I knew about the male kind, just not the female kind. Now can we please stop talking about this?

Also, it appears that the South Park watchers here don't seem to recall the 2nd season episode that touched on this very topic.

No no, I remember. It was the same episode in which Mr. Garrison starts doing marijuana.

I'm happy that it was raining. The Earth is getting a good cleaning.

Well, I got my first shave today!  Got my hair cut & my sideburns shaved off at the barber's. It feels pretty smooth. I guess I have to add shaving to my daily routine now, huh? Finally, a step into manhood...

Though, I've chosen to shave my 'stache for another day.

Do you have a sweet 'stache like Mario's?

Nope. Right now, it's just vaugely visable. No one could have a 'stache comparable to Mario.

I've been shaving, since, like 13.

I also decided to skip the "'stache" as well, but I learned after awhile that it looks disgusting on me so that went too. Not many people can pull off the moustache.

I probably could, as my father did, but my mother refuses to let me.

I finally got some black pipe cleaners, the last thing I needed before I could complete my hand-made stuffed Mr. Saturn. He was made from an old shirt, some black marbles, feathers from my old pillow, a ribbon from a small Christmas present (I don't think my aunt believed me when I excitedly said, "Yes! This ribbon is exactly what I need!!") and, finally, the pipe cleaners. Most of my terrible sewing skills are not visible in the photograph linked above. Beats putting out $50 for an official one... almost.

I also got Mr. Bean's Holiday on DVD. Mr. Bean is awesome.

Edit: Shaving is a good thing. Mustaches and beards don't look so excellent on teenagers. At this age I only have to shave every few days, of course. Shaving is not scary or dangerous, and sure, it does grow back wiry, but I'm always glad to be rid of the facial hair.

I would hate to have a mustache.  That's why I shave.

I keep my stubble. I have been told countless times by girls that it looks good. Ka-ching.
