Video Game Chat / Re: Video games don't rot your brain!
« on: May 24, 2005, 05:41:56 AM »
Oh do I have proof! DO I HAVE PROOF! MUWHAHAHA! *ahem* Well, all the popular kids (at least in my school) don't game, or if they game, it's something stupid like some ultra-violent crap. Which really isn't good for anyone.

Those people who don't play games, usually party, get involved with drugs, sleep around. Oh sure they have lots of friends, and a sex life. However, that is all they have. They don't know loyalty, or puzzle-solving, or any of those things. So look where they are pregnant, or junkies. The reason probaly the news is so down on overweight people and gaming, is that they know this is true, and they're tired of people spreading that truth.

If that crackpot conspiracy theory doesn't work for you, then how about this? Dr. House, plays Nintendo. Enough said.

Well the truth is that, Bowser is their father!

Come on, you knew somebody had to pull the ol "Luke I am your father!" joke, on this one.

Mario Chat / Re: Mario in some flash movies...

On this subject, I just would like to say. I hate any Mario flash cartoons, where they kill off a good deal of Toads. No really, I love the little guys. It makes me sad, it does.

Markio, and here I thought you put "mature" in quotations, to point out the irony that you can't be mature, if you think shooting zombies and beating up hookers is a good time game-wise. Well cause, that's why I put "mature" in quotations.

Only little boys who need to play their big boy macho games say that. Oh I want to pretend I can kill cops, and beat up women. I feel like such a MAN now.

Please. People who say Nintendo are dying out, are just little boys, who are mysogynistic and homophobic, and are afraid of women..so they need a video game to reassure them that they're big tough guys.

General Chat / Re: Female Mario Fans?
« on: May 24, 2005, 05:29:49 AM »
I'm a female Mario fan. I grew up with Nintendo, no really, I was born in 82'. My first system was the NES, and blah blah..well anyways.

As a female fan, I'm glad to see that Nintendo has done alot more towards the respectability of their female gamers, than other gaming companies have. Like you know, they don't act like half-naked babes, and uhm, beating up hookers is all that.

I saw a clip of this game from E3. It is also brimming, with the usual amount of Yoshi cuteness you'd expect from a Yoshi game too!

Perhaps they decided to put dry bones in there, to get the same kind of humor that's in The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, with Grim. You know, like Dry Bones wacks the ball with his femur, instead of a baseball bat. Gags like those.

Site Discussion / Japanese version of Mario Kart 64 signs
« on: May 24, 2005, 05:18:32 AM »
I was thinking, while you're probaly right that Nintendo changed the Japanese parody sites of American companies so they wouldn't get sued.

They also might've changed the Marioro sign, because in effect it would be kind of like advertising ciggerettes to minors. I mean, like with Joe Camel. If kids associated Mario with smoking, well that'd just be wrong.
