I need help killing Culex, I've done everything, I even looked over a bunch of guides. All I was able to do was take out the crystals. I also think I was maxed out on karokaro-kolas

No, you can't play as him and he's not even in the game! Well anyway the pictures might have been doctored up unless you are thinking of a different game

If I remember, I used Mario, Geno, and Peach for the battle.

If you're maxed out at 52, you shouldn't be having any trouble with Culex. I can remember doing it in the 40s.

Anyways, Peach is your obvious healer, and Mario is there to pull off his more powerful attacks. Geno, however, I chose over Bowser.

It's been some time since I played Mario RPG, and as such I can't seem to remember what attack I had Geno in there for. I can't remember if the crystals or Culex can guard against the "Geno Whirl" timed attack or not, but if they can't then obviously use that. If not, I guess the "Geno Flash", or whichever was his highest FP costing damaging move.

I also seem to remember Rock Candies being helpful, but you know, I could be way off on that one.

The problem is that Culex does me in with his dark star (or whatever it's called routine) I run out of supplies. Keeps knocking out Mario and Geno and I have Bowser left and then I heal Mario then he gets knocked out and I use a Karo Karo Kola.

Get the lazy shell armor and equip it onto Peach.

That was a joke.

Go to Nimbus Land, to the right edge of the town, and walk against it. You should eventually walk off the edge somewhere and find the fertilizer.

No, you can't play as him and he's not even in the game!

Actually... He is. If you have ever completed Super Mario RPG, He's the first character you see in the ending parade.
Yeah, and Maximum level is 30.

Hey. Don't attack the crystals. Just whomp on Culex till he's gone. The crystals will die soon afterward. I beat Culex at level 23. Just use TOADSTOOL with the lazy shell. (It wasn't "Peach" in America at that time, and Toadstool makes more sense anyway, it's not the "Fruits with large Pits" Kingdom.)
Oh, yeah.. I think you can read Luigi's wish at Star Hill... but I could be wrong since the word "Luigi" never appeared in the game.

I never used the Lazy Shell armor; it made whomever it was equipped to have no Attack power whatsoever, and I think it made their Speed majorly drop, as well. The infinite-defense thing just wasn't worth majorly sacrificing the other things.

What I think I did was equip Peach with the Royal Dress armor instead, and use the Safety Ring accessory, which blocks like all Status attacks, including damage with them, and I think gives decent overall defense, as well. I like that better than the Lazy Shell armor.

I used Mario, Geno, and Peach; make sure you have their strongest Weapons (Lazy Shell WEAPON for Mario-GET THIS. Don't forget the Frying Pan in Moleville for Peach, either) and strongest Armor available, and figure out what Accessories would be most practical.

Basically, don't use HP-recovery items; use Peach to heal allies when anyone gets low. Don't waste FP using Special Attacks other than Peach's healing moves and Geno Boosts ('nother reason I prefer using Geno over Bowser), unless it's a particular weakness for an enemy (like Fire Orb on the Water Crystal, or something).

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE LOTS OF SYRUPS TO RECOVER FP. This method is a lot cheaper than buying tons of KeroKero Colas.

If an ally falls, use Peach's Comeback on them. Be sure to have a few Pick Me Ups on hand in case Peach falls; only use those on her.

...So, anyway, that's my method, and I always did fine when at a decent Level. I like it a lot better than the Lazy-Shell-armor-on-Peach method, but that's me.

Oh, and Toadstool is her LAST name, Bird Person. Peach is her first name; "Toadstool" would be an awful first name. >_<

Except that it was her first name until NOA decided to shape up and use her real name.
