All the games except Takamaru's have significant merit, but Octopus Dance is light-years beyond the rest in my book. It's Space Channel 5 with independent arm control, motion-leaning, and inter-move transitions. I did not expect such glory from Nintendo Land. The music rules, too. The buildup into Stage 5 and the Extra Stage is the highest a game's made me in awhile. Bravo. I got the 5 stamps and platinum trophy very quickly so it'd be cool if it were longer/harder/more varied between runs but you could say that about any of these minigames that you love. I'm happy with what I got.
I give second place to Falcon's Twister Race. It's a magic moment when you hit Area 9 and the music kicks in.
Who can forget such a quote as "this all sounds like a gay porn"? This is where you spout off about your favorite observations about PangYa discussions from non-forum members. Funny or serious.
What is it signifying in Mario Kart 7 when a loud drumbeat kicks in and the hi-hat just starts GITTIN' AFTER IT. I think it only happens when you're in 1st, but definitely not always when you're in 1st. I also don't remember ever hearing it the first time I played through all the tracks. For a while I thought it meant I was on pace to set a personal best but I'm starting to doubt that. It happens in both single-player Grand Prix and online races. Searching around online, I didn't see this mentioned anywhere.
We've currently got a free download of Excitebike, an upcoming free supposedly brand-new Four Swords game, and if you buy OoT3D you get a free soundtrack mailed to you. This is from a company that a few years ago was charging $20 to play Donkey Kong on GBA. Is it because the 3DS isn't selling as quickly as hoped? Did Iwata recently get laid?
