Not at the Dinner Table / "We Don't Torture."

Oops, nevermind, I guess we do! Obviously/hopefully, no one here is in favor of that, but any specific thoughts on the confirmation of something most everyone assumed, anyway? (no link because I assume everybody's heard about this on the news by now)

Forget that last "3D" Link's Awakening I mentioned a while back--this is awesome.

Granted, it's one site's opinion, but what do you think? To put it broadly, I think some are missing and some that aren't should be.

Did anybody else know about this? It's interesting at the same time it's not, I guess (I haven't watched it).

Video Game Chat / "Peach's Castle" (GCN Tech Demo)

I'm taking a gamble here posting a video I've never watched (I'm still, ahem, subservient to dial-up), but this is apparently some sort of tech demo Nintendo distributed to developers and whonot to showcase the 'Cube's power.

...Or "digidist", as I feel it will eventually be shortened to. What do you think about it? Good or bad for the gaming industry? The consumer? Will it replace "physical" games? Do you care if it does?

Personally, I'm torn. On one hand, I suppose it's good to spend less paper, plastic, et cetera to package, distribute, and sell games; on the other hand, one glitch and your games could be gone.

Direct link to paper.

Yeah, it's probably imagination run wild... but that's a big imagination. And a lot of on-hand time.

Game Help / Kirby 64 "Update"?
« on: December 31, 2008, 10:08:27 AM »
So I'm browsing the VC the other day and, upon passing Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards in the catalog, I title I previously downloaded, I notice it is tagged with "Updated!" Naturally, I downloaded it, as it was free and didn't take too long, but (unless I misinterpreted the readout) it took about 150 blocks and I don't know what it did! Could anybody tell me what this "update" entails?

Game Help / Best way to get ahold of a replacement GH:WT guitar?
« on: November 28, 2008, 03:54:57 PM »
My World Tour guitar randomly strums of its own accord and I can't fix it. I called the store I bought it at and they told me it was the company's problem. I proceeded to call Activision and punched a few numbers while a machine told me to go to a non-existent website. Simultaneously and thereafter, I inspected the assorted customer service pages on the RedOctane/Activision sites, but the links were/are either broken or lead me in circles. Additionally, the RedOctane site talks about returns but only for products bought on their site (and you have to get ahold of them first). Also, though there is of course the usual 90 Day Warranty, but I think you have to pay to return stuff after two weeks (I bought it two Mondays ago and they're off work on weekends).

In a nutshell: I've got a bum GH4 guitar and it needs replacing, preferably as cheaply and/or quickly as possible. Help!
