No, ALL the Mario Karts have massively cheating AI. Add random items, which skew more powerful when you're behind, and experience has virtually nothing to do with how you place in a Mario Kart.

-cheating AI in the Karts
-the poor sound quality in MvDK. The content was fine, but the sample rate sounded low or something...
-blue coins in SMS. If you wanted all Shines, they were each as important as a single Shine. Ugh.
